John wants to grow some cannabis!

Didnt know where else to put this.
Okay my friend John is getting his own place, and he asked me if its worth growing his own.

So im asking you, should he take the risk and grow some, or should he pay the bit extra and just buy it?

Whats your thoughts.

John is thinking of having 2-3 plants in a cosy spot.

If he is growing for just for personal use I would say go ahead. You really don't have to worry much about being caught when no one knows that you're doing it. Homegrown bud is usually better, at least after you get good at it, than commercial bud. It would definitely be worth the effort and if I had the room in my house I would do it myself. But I don't. So I have to wait and just grow shrooms instead.

My thoughts, if he owns, not renting,
and not a big partying type, that has a lot of friends
stopping by, sure go for it.
I stopped, when I sold my condo, and got an apartment.

sure he should grow just make sure he has a good spot and tht the heat coming frm the lights is distributed evenly around the house for safety reasons because of helicopters and new technology

ya if its just personal and you dont tell people about it. personally, i wouldnt even tell me closest friend cause i dunno they get drunk or something and it slips, then its all over.

very hard to get caught with 3 plants if no one knows and you arent a party house

he said you can put a shield up to stop the light, i guess he could distribute heat with an exhaust fan in his setup?
Im sure he could find some sort of tek on it

tell john... i dabled in the summer and had to cut it short cause of school, but its very easy. for your first time, dont waste hours and hours of research, just do it, and when things go wrong then ask questions and research. i researched it for hours and in the end i just got confused, just grow it like any plant. all you need is a light cycle and decent heat

If he's telling you about it, then he probably shouldn't.  Even one person knowing is too many.

Tell him to make sure he can hide his grow room from any servicemen.  Eventually his hot water heater will break down, or he'll have a plumbing/electrical problem.  Make sure the grow room isn't in the way of any utility access points. 

I wish someone would've given me that advice at my old place, when i was growing.  Luckily, my plumber was pot friendly :smile:

definately grow (if he is his own landlord!)

from my point of view i grow my own cos i smoke alot and its a fuckin expensive passtime if u get too into it :hehehe:

nothing like smoking your own product!
i just love smoking a joint and knowing that i nurtured that sticky icky from a tiny seed or a cutting hehe... and i know exactly wot went into it.

weed that is grow for commercial reasons is always good, but for me it has a chemical like after taste, i want the sweetest tasting bud possible so i grow organic. it was a much cheaper setup option when i first started out too, and my results were so good i never got into hydro at all :thumbup:

So this John person is really you and you wana grow some weed. First thing you should know about growing weed is not to talk about it, and check out some MARIJUANA forums, you dont even need to post....just read. Obviously growing = free weed, but it is not inexpensive and it does have its risks. Buy a HT magazine or visit cannabis forums, weight it all out and decide for yourself.
