ok ive read about alcohol amd syrian rue being a bad mix, but i just drank 1 12oz sam adams and i was wondering if im still safe for doin syrian rue and shrooms later

I know this topic is old, but how much beer is to much beer before syrian rue, I have an iron stomach, and don't mind a little nausea if the trip is good. However, I don't want to die yet so, would ... 6 beers be to many?

Its not a matter of feeling sick or not, its the risk of having a hypertensive-crisis.

What is a hypertensive crisis you ask?

* Fluid in the lungs (pulmonary edema)
* Brain swelling or bleeding
* Aortic dissection
* Heart attack
* Stroke

So, eating/drinking things which have MAOI contradictions is a situation far more serious than 'having a little nausea'. While I can not say for certian or not if having 6 beers will lead to a problem (I'd assume it would), I would cast my vote of "If you cant be bothered to follow the basic food restrictions before doing a MAOI, you really should not be using said MAOI"

:chillpill:  I was just asking... I know how bad maois can be if used without caution, yet I have some friends who drank beer the whole time they were tripping on syrian rue (4gs) without any ill effects... just wondering if anyone had any similar experiences... 

All I mean by iron stomach is, what seems to turn most peoples guts dosen't seem to have the same effect on me as it would most... however I am not cocky when it comes to the potentialy deadly/nauseating sacraments  :ooo:, I had no intention of eating rue whithout fasting fisrt... misunderstanding.
