Hi all,

I just got some Syrian Rue to take with my next trip. Anyone tried this stuff with shrooms? How did it go for you?

Also, anyone ever tried to grow it, and how did that go?

I did, ate 3 grams that were powdered in a coffee grinder. It worked great.

Syrian rue contains an MAOI. For anyone who doesn't know what this is, it pretty much doubles the strength of a trip. I've tried it once before and it seems to work pretty good.

Syrian rue can double the potency of your tryptamines, this means half the dose.

I had some Syrian Rue with 4 g's a few months ago and it was mind blowing, I wouldn't do that much again because I lost total connection with reality and it was pretty scary.  Make sure you read up before you try it.  I would also recommend not eating the types of food mentioned mentioned in all the FAQ's for a day after your trip because I ate a sausage roll the next day and it gave me a really bad stomache ache.

Thanks for the links.  I'm curious as to who would be eating the pods from broad beans and banana skins though? :crazy:  I'm a yeast extract junky myself, so it looks like i'll be going without for a couple of days.

I've got four cakes just beginning to fruit, so i should have a nice, blitz out, trip's worth by Friday, I'll test out the Rue then.  I'll write up how it goes.

Yeah i've been having a read over at Erowid.  I've done loads of trips and stuff, and I'm really interested in how this affects them.  Roll on Friday. :laugh:

If you're vegan then it shouldn't be much of a problem at all in not eating the stuff on the list. Like you I had to really watch getting an unspecified yeast extract product craving the 12 or so hours before and after!!

It might be worth loking into doing a simple harmaline extraction from the rue as that stuff tastes like shit any way you do it! Oh, apart from gel capping it of course. But then you'll not want to use the gelatine capsules that are so readily available, you can get hold vegetable based ones but it takes a bit of looking. If you get stuck just PM me.

I would strongly advise the capping mehtod as unless you have guts of steel the rue brew will most likely have you heaving. I've heard of people just eating the powdered seeds but this seems a little crazy to me.

I remember doing this with my girlfriend and her brother and while myself and she were fine, her bro came stumbling into the room puking through his hands. I think he eats a fair amount of meat and i know he likes his beer so these are factors worthy of consideration.

Anyway, enough of that, have a good trip and get comfy - the added rue makes for a solid body load that demands the horizontal....

My specified yeast extract is "Meridian".  Much nicer than any others, IMHO.  (Oh dear, advertising again :shocked:)

Instead of capsules, I'll make bombs using hemp skins, which is like a paper capsule.

I just installed speakers and bass cab underneath my bed :laugh:.  It sounds like I'm floating on the sound, cause i literally am.  So this should be quite an experience (I demand nothing less than the full on flat out magic carpet ride)    :cool:.  The bed base acts like a big bass bin as well.

hehehe the bass thing sounds cool.
As suggested, rue is heavy on the stomach, nothing worse than feeling queezy, so take a look here for a simple rue extraction:
