Hi GnuBobo, i believe in the first pages of GGMM there's also a picture of a Chanterel that appears from the bottom of a flowerpot, this flowerpot should been inoculated with a liquid culture. So in great lines i can answer you yes Keep us updated!

believe it's quite impossible to inoculate a "virgin" flowerpot if not with the use of a liquid culture. A liquid culture permits to the mycelium to reach the little roots of the plant into the ground compared to the grain spawn that must be inoculed just in a few of points.
what do you think about this?

OK. So, I have some fruitbodies--non-sterile. Were I to want to try to grow out some LC medium--what's the best way to do this?
Peroxide bath for a minute or so, then, inoculate the sterilized LC medium jar?
I'm not looking to make this a lab-sterile LC culture--just something to expand a bit and dump around outside. Not sure if this is a stupid idea or not. Thanks.

Hi GnuBobo, isn't never a stupid idea expand mycelium
Try simply a light honey at 5% maximum + water...to do not stress the WILD mycelium.
IMHO is better to expand it over petris and then into LiquidCultures (this just to prevent the lost of Chanterell's mycelium)

You have to cultivate 4 organisms simultaneously. Yeast, bacteria, the chanterelle and the host tree. Sterile, or mono culture will not work well. Its in Mycelium Running.
Try to harvest mushrooms with vegetative hyphae and replant near uncolonized host trees.
