What if you could take out the part of your brain that deals with love?
    #5702449 -

Would you do it? It would take awayall the awful memories and experiences, but also take away all the good times. If this operation were real and possible it seems like something I would do on a whim during a prolonged stated of depression.

I would sell it with my other advancements of neurotechnology and make a lot of money.

Perhaps monopolize the industry, merged it with biological engineering and establish a little "crew" in charge of the new paradigm of human life.

Marriage seems to deteriorate the brain in general.

no, I would not do it (again)

but true love comes from the heart, friend.

you might end up with a cool spaceship if you took the love out of your mind

but ultimately you end up knowing everything and being completely impotent to enact change.

Its just another road to nowhere

I know you're in a bad place right now, friend. I have sympathy for you, for I have been there, too.

feel better. you'll be alright. we all will

seriously, dude. I love you, and I always have your back, so just chill till the next episode!

Hey, are you an anatomist? Obviously, no...

In a subsequent matter, I suppose "love" could come from the heart but only in the sense that the heart delivered the blood necessary to experience the "love."

If such a thing was possible, there would be a sudden, astronomical leap in suicide rates

Sometimes I wish I could get rid of it and fill in the gap with drugs. I would probably regret it eventually.. once the stash runs out. :smirk:

too literal, as usual

I can feel love and pain in my heart

there have been things done to me that felt like a stake being driven through my heart.  A pain so sinister it almost destroyed me

I have tried so hard to destroy myself

but nothing seems to kill me, no matter how hard I try

I laid in the desert sun for a thousand years, thinking it would kill me

but it only made me stronger

I drank the blood of the queen of the damned

but her curse only strengthened me

who am I?

You are a self-absorbed and concurrently self-hating idealogue spewing forth bits of information, the majority of which being of no or little use, whom you could consider in requirement of literal guys like me to establish a balance within the collective human psyche.

Long sentence.

No, because you wouldn't have much of a brain left. We're pretty much "hardwired" to feel love, which is also connected to the sex urge. OTOH, I've read a prefrontal lobotomy pretty much kill any emotions, so I dunno. :justdontknow:

who are you, the thought police?

thats a bad business to be in

Don't turn an angel of mercy and reward

into punishment most severe

you're firing lasers at a mirror.

you know I love you too

so why the hostility?

I've always been

and will always be there for you

though we may be separated

you are closer to me than you have ever been.

look within
