Yah, im excited too, i think i saw signs of preflowers forming today.  Ill be grabbing a magnifying glass and some more materials to finalize the room for flowering.  Hopefully ill be posting some bud pics in a few weeks.

Oh yah, i have some serious plans for this thing. I have a vial of about 50 seeds from a bubblegum x NL x Haze (AKA bubblegold) which will be getting planted. I have about 6 clones of tutti fruity coming my way, and plans to start trading clones with a few other kats i know that grow some herb. Not only that but as soon as more money becomes available ill be buying more seeds and building myself a cloning unit to give myself more ladies.

SIDE NOTE!!!

Just got in touch with the hydrohut guys today, these guys are now officially fucking awesome. Not only are they going to send me a brand new canvas tent for free, they're upgrading the metal frame i have to their most recent model!! To top it off, they havent even asked me to return my original unit!!! Well, not yet anyways, i asked in the last email if i would be needing to send back my damaged unit. This is going to throw another kink in my time schedule as im going to have to dissassemble and then reassemble the new unit, definitely going to be a pain in the ass but hopefully ill get the unit up and running a little bit more smoothly with no damage to the canvas.

The hydrohut guys get an infinite amount of gold stars in my book for this, it took 2 days to get a reply, but when it came they were very upset that their product malfunctioned and i struggled with it. It makes me happy to see that are companies out there who are willing to jump through some hoops for their customers, so now i can say without a doubt if you're interested in one of these to go buy it!

I'm no expert, but couldn't you, instead of taking a whole bag of pollen in with the ladies, just take a small amount, on a q-tip, in a bag, and just rub it on a lower/non prime bud site?

I have always heard that you should change your shirt/clothes after dealing with a male & b4 visiting the ladies.  I don't know if a q-tip application would work, but if they can be fertilized from over a mile away outdoors, I assume you would only need a speck of pollen to produce seeds.

I'm sure you have a lot more experience than me, I just hate seedy shit :minigun:  The only shit i can find right now is some shitty hydro Romulan that got pollen from a daddy 'Magic Carpet Ride' (although I've never heard of this one).
I got a bunch of these seeds now, and it sucks cause there all F1's :lame:

Small update:

One confirmed female this morning   Preflowers are a lot smaller then i thought they would be, but there's no mistaking the two little white hairs poking out.

Even though i have a shitty microecon test in an hr, i couldnt have had a better start to my day.

Thanks man, i have a few more supplies to pick up.  I need another ducting adapter and a timer that accepts a grounded plug, and then i should be set.  Plans are to top the plants a bit to grab some clones, remove some of the secondary leaves from the bottom, and get them into 12/12 starting tommorow at 5 AM.

My buddy and i figured it would be easier to keep temps in the cabinet at 78 or so during the night time with the lights on.  During the day im pretty sure i can keep that room cool with out having to purchase an AC unit as long as the HID is not running.  Even with a blower bringing in fresh air, a 12 inch desk fan hung to mid cabinent, im having difficulty with keeping the temps below 80 during the day.

Looks like those bud shots will be coming in a few weeks guys

Here is a little tip on cloning. It can be the easiest thing in the world with the right equipment.

Here's a question, if you root a clone hydroponically, do i have to grow it hydroponically? Or can i just plant the exposed roots in some foxfarm? I found a method on HG420 that seemed extremely easy and used the soil i already had. Im pretty broke right now, so even spending 30 bucks or so on equipment and nutrients is something i cant do. I want to take clones, but i know i wont be able to properly do that for a month or so when i get some more money in.

I like your variation on the bubble bucket clone propagator. Whats are you using as the inserts in the top of your lid?

I think all you need to do is plant the rooted clones in your soil mix. They might stunt a bit if the roots are handled excessively or introduced into a new medium, but pot is pretty hardy so they should bounce back quickly after being stressed.

Re: Finally! [Re: Simisu]

3 confirmed female, one plant im unsure of. I think i saw a female flower on it yesterday, but im not 100%

Thanks man, i love the room but its got to go. I emailed the company and the guy is willing to send me the 4x4 room and let me keep the 4x8 at no charge whatsover. That should be here this week, my hydro shop should also have my 3 gallon pots in today. I need to do a transplant as the roots are coming out the drainage holes in my one gal pots.

So, as soon as i get the three gal, find a timer that takes a grounded plug, i'll be putting these babies into 12/12.

Another update:

Purchased a 16 inch oscillating fan, ive been seeing a lot of heat damage on my plants, avg cab temps are around 78 degree's. Sometimes they hit 80 and at night they chill around 74. So lots of fluctuation that will hopefully be solved when i flip the cycle and give them some darkness. Im also hoping that the smaller room will be easier to keep cool, hopefully i wont have to buy a window AC unit. Im thinking of just piping in cold air directly from my house AC via some ducting.

Plans are also in the work to purchase a few inline fans. At 180 bucks a pop tho, that's an expense that's just going to have to wait.

Three plants are about 16 inches, i have one at about 24, plans to take some clones as soon as i get some other shit squared away.

Oh yah, i guess i should take some more pics of the room to show the work ive put into it. Ive added in the intake flange, hooked up some ducting to it, and have a heavy blower pulling in cold air from my room. I also sealed off the exhaust line completely, got some freebies from my hydro guys (need some adapters for my fan), and ive stuck the ballast outside the hut. All of these things have helped regulate temps a little bit better then before. I also have a 9 inch desk fan hanging from the ceiling, the intake ducting also hanging around mid plant level, and the 16 inch fan blowing around the tops of the plants. Hopefully this will help keep the plants a bit cooler and prevent the heat damage ive been seeing (metallic yellow spots and crispy leaf tips)

Nope, you can definitely transplant long hydro roots into soil. They are shocked "less" if you transplant when the roots are smaller, as opposed to larger, but Ive transplanted clones with 12"+ roots with no problem.

Soil cloning takes a while and is hit or miss. You can get clones in as little as 3 days with this machine.

As far as inserts, I used to use little pieces of tubing, with a slit down the side. But now, I dont use anything. The leaves of the clone hold the clone up, while the stem dangles. The holes are only about 3/8"s so the fan leaves, and their stems have no problem holding them up.
