a bust story

if you're going to get into this hobby, one thing i might suggest is that you do what you can to keep it to yourself. i knew better than to sell the fruits of my labors, but about a year ago, i let myself be convinced to do so anyway by someone who i thought i could trust.

i sold about an 8th to this guy and a few months later, the cops were at my door at 4 in the morning with a felony arrest warrant. they conducted an (illegal) search of my residence and seized a grow i was working on.

i was charged with a few different felonies and misdemeanors in relation to the sale. though i was a first time offender, the DA wasn't willing to cut me (or any of the other students rounded up in this sting, they net about a dozen a semester) any slack. the only way to avoid jail time and a felony conviction was to become an informant, and i wasn't going to do that.

while i was locked up, i got hit with felony manufacturing charges. the only reason i'm not on my way to the state pen on that shit is because the cops didn't have a search warrant when they came to my place, and we probably could have fought to have those charges thrown out and won. i agreed to plea down to a possession charge instead.

i spent the whole damn summer in jail and now i've got a felony record. i owe thousands of dollars and i have to make more than a year and a half of pretty strict parole or i get sent right back. trust me people... just don't sell. no matter how much you trust who you're selling to. it's just not worth it. even once. all this was over a lousy 8th.

i suppose it definitely could have been worse though.

and i'm back! hello shroomery! it's been a while!

i can't say that i didn't think about it too. when you're in that situation, and all of the sudden it seems like your world has been ripped out from under you, you definitely think, "how can i just make this go away?".

but with it all said and done, i know that i made the right decision. being a snitch, and being able to live with yourself, requires you to abandon your values. it changes you as a person. it hollows you out.

as shitty as the situation was and is, i can look myself in the mirror and know that i've done no wrong. this is persecution, and while some would become accomplice to it, i didn't. i don't mean to toot my own horn too much, but this is the kind of shit that seperates the talkers from the walkers.

i met some other people in there on the same kind of bullshit, and i was surprised at how few seem to go the narc route... and proud. people are better than i thought they were. there are more walkers out there than i would have guessed.  :sun:

snitches don't need to die. they are doomed to either carry around unbearable guilt, or to escape that, give up any convictions that they give a damn for their fellow man. either way, they are miserable.

He rolled on 10 people?  He better have been in some fucking serious trouble to do that. 

Back in high school when I smoked weed, I knew weed smokers and weed dealers.  The smokers and dealers who were careful never got caught.  The people who were out partying all of the time, driving under the influence, hanging out with other irresponsible people,  and being obvious about what they were doing ALL got caught.  I knew people who were careful who hung out with that one wrong person and it all came crashing down.  That sounds like what happened to you.

the way they are doing things out here is really fucked up. most of these busts are not from undercover police work, but young criminal informants, and there is a lot of it going on. sooner or later, someone's gonna get killed over this shit. it's not like there's even a big problem here. this is seriously fucking up young people's lives over petty shit (thank god i wasn't trying to be a doctor or a teacher or something), and pretty soon, someone's actually going to get hurt, and maybe killed. over nothing.

college kids smoking grass is the least of this county's drug worries. there is a heroin problem that we have nothing to do with, and when the meth shows up (and it will), the shit is really gonna start flying, but again, the student population isn't going to have anything to do with it; it will be the redneck locals.

You live in 'vania like me as I remember. I live right in the middle of the "Rust Belt". All of the good jobs are gone and all that is left is people on welfare, old people, and economic decay.

The local cops in my hometown used to get a hard-on when they found somebody with pot. Now they have heroin and meth to worry about. That shit just infests little depressed towns like mine. So, the cops in my hometown are actually focusing on the real dangerous drugs now instead of pot.

Glad to hear they didn't really stick it to you, even though you may not think so right now. I've been raided before too, so I know how much that can suck.

I'm rather proud to say that, despite being in a similar situation, I refused to play their snitch game as well, even though they really wanted me to. Snitches are just low-lifes!  :mad2:

well what if your just helping out friends with your fruits, and theyre good friends... i know that really, you cant trust anybody, but i dont see the harm if its on a very small scale and if NOONE knows your hobby... they just think you know a guy that u get em from once in a while, etc... right? cuz my flushes, if things go right, should produce anywhere from 2-6 dry OZ, and noone needs to eat that much :smile: besides, someones gotta pay for the supplies and risk :wink:

government HATES shrooms becuase they open peoples eyes. they make people realize how we are only FREE (in america) to do what we are told. if you think about it, we have no freedom. of course we are free to do certain things in comparison to other countries, but mushrooms make peoples eyes WIDE OPEN. they make people realize that this government is retarded, and if too many people became knowledgeable of that, then the government might lose its hold. they are afraid of the shrooms. REAL drugs, like Coke, Meth, Heroin, are truly bad, but since they hook people, and are used by high ranking officials, they keep coming back into the country, or being produced here, since the politicians need those drugs :smile: thats not a claim, its just a speculation.. and im sure all of us could agree with that, at least to an extent. :smile:

It's never going to stop. There's always going to be corrupt gov't officials that rule this country with hypocracy. There's no way to stop it or even fight it without drawing attention to yourself. The only thing we can do is be as private as we can with this stuff and hope our responsible handling keeps us out of the gov't eye.

But really you made the right decision! Ok yeah you ended up in jail and with some serious shit around that but you'll live! You'll still have your shroomer friends something that your client (the one who bought the shrooms) can't say!

About the meth and smack problem... I don't know how the situation there is but here we don't have much smack but we got lots of coke and some meth... I know like 4 kids age from 16 to 18 that do meth every now and then! Fuck they were nice kids till their dealers decided to make more money and offered them meth... fucking crap...

I have a thread  "busted by a 15 year old friend, bummer". If I would plead guilty today I would get 10 years.Under new Texas law I would do 5 before before being able to to get parole. So I'm going to trail.
Right now its set for Nov. 7 but I just had a back operation so I'm trying to get it set for later. Can not talk about it yet.To many Twist and turns plus don't want anything I say to be used against me.Waiting is a bitch So are snitches. They are not worth getting in more trouble for.There karma will catch up with them.

Be cool, all this will get behind you as it will for me.
