Of course.... but rookie doesn't mean that you go just for E.

I went to my first party when I was fifteen, and I was (mostly) sober the whole night. I had people offering me E, which I turned down. I smoked some pot that my friends had brought with, but I was there just to see what the music was all about. I could've smoked weed in my bedroom; the drugs were secondary. Even at my first rave, I didn't just go for the chems.

And that's why I've never been to a jam band deal, or a lot thereof. I KNOW I dislike the music, so I KNOW I'd only be going for drugs, and even though I don't like hippies, I wouldn't take a shit on their scene like that.

Electrode:  You're trying way too hard to be negative.  You're going to have to try harder than that.  Who said I don't like the music?

its not really like the drug situation, but i see where youre coming form... those peopel arent there for the music and the connection, they are there for a cheap moment of satisfaction theyll be bragging to all the girlfriends about for months to come, though not understanding the true genius of what heppened. they were all probably pissed that they didnt know any of the songs, and THTA is my satisfaction of seeing them there, if at all.

I'm glad you understand this....

In a way, I kinda should be thanking Learyfan and his ilk. If it weren't for them, I never would've decided that the negative aspects of raves outweigh the positive ones, and I never would've bought my own turntables.

I'm not trying to be negative, nor do I want to try to be.  I'm asserting my position.  If you like the music so much, why :bitch: about it so profusely when you go and can't find E?  If you're such a fan of the tunes, wouldn't the drug be secondary, or completely unimportant at all?  Why not make a post about how great (or terrible) the music was?

You made it obvious that your primary intent was to find a drug and do it, not hear some beats.

The music was secondary for me, but I still love the music. I was looking forward to dancing my ass off to some drum and bass but never found my "inspiration". Get over yourself. You're not a superior raver just because you'd just as soon go to a rave without being on E.

I'm not ANY kind of raver.  I'm a huge fan of the music, however.  So much so, that when the music stopped becoming the focus of parties and started becoming part of the background scenery, I bought my own turntables so I wouldn't have to see people doing what you do, yet I can still enjoy the music.

Like I said, I wish there was no E at any party ever.  It would keep the riff-raff out.

I buy records, and spin them for myself, and anyone who asks to hear me.  It's great, and I don't have to put up with any of the bullshit associated with raves.

I don't even do E anymore, really.  I suppose if I got to know you a little bit, I'd roll with ya.  You seem like a really fun person to party with.  And I'd definitely throw down some records for ya.... in a living room.

As for a gathering, I recieve too many death threats on a weekly basis for me to consider going to one.  I'm averaging one a week, and at this pace, no gathering will be safe for me.

I'm actually in the process of creating a brand spankin' new mixtape.  Unfortunately, that's all I do; mixtapes.  I'm VERY computer illiterate, and have no idea how to hook my turntables up to my PC.  I think I might look into that soon, though; I've had a lot of people asking to hear my shit.  I have sent users from here tapes of me mixing, but don't have enough blanks right now to do that.

As soon as I get a mix online (hopefully soon), I'll hit ya up.  I really appreciate your interest, and that only inspires me to rig my shit up quicker.  Thanks.  :sun:

I mix a variety of music.  Primarily, I spin drum-n-bass, electro, or breakbeats.  However, I also have house and straight techno records.  Even some 80's synth tunes.  Basically anything that's not trance, or too trancey.

And yes, I get death threats from Shroomerites.  Last week I recieved several from the user Adamist, and this week I got one from the user FreshCaps.  People want me dead, I guess. I'm always happy to disappoint, though.
