Inspiring Experience
    #4390905 - 07/10/05 11:36 PM (11 years, 4 months ago)

For about 2 -3 days I have had this intense feeling of discomfort.

I have felt unfulfilled and unfocused, Lazy and lost.
Then last night, after work I decided to take the hour or so drive up the lake to a music Festival that was taking place called Starbelly Jam.

The first band I saw was this funk/reggae/gospel/jazz/soul/(more?) band from Chad, Africa. They were insane, beautiful, spiritual, loving. Then after that I partied all night. I drank a bit, and smoked  a lot of pot and other herbs. Saw many loving faces, some familiar, some not. Danced alot, and enjoyed myself.

This morning after what was a brief and very wet sleep in a tent, I made my way back to the festivities. The band we watched was a roots/reggae/rock/country/(more?) band. I was awe-struck and inspired. Such amazing lyrics and music. Such positive loving people.

I left this festival feeling completely fulfilled, focused, loved, loving, and inspired. I am gonna take my 2 - 3 years of guitar playing and put it to use. Start a band, and work hard.

Good luck and good Vibes. :mushroom2: :jamming:

If you want more of same, but with 35,000 people. Take a trip to Burning Man. You won't regret it.   :mushroom2:

I know... I have been checking that out... One day I definitely will attend, not this summer though. But I've got some other festivals and events planned for this summer that I guarantee will not disappoint. :smirk:

Glad you have found something that reminds you of the great joy of living.  :mushroom2:

Right about now I start to get excited and giddy, knowing I will be in the most loving community I have ever been with by far, for eight whole days.

I used to forget so easily. Now I hardly ever do.  In the beginning I find it helpfull to swear off all media. The world does not need your attention to carry on its silly ways. That one act can help loads.
