I have been looking for them in cow pastures. I didn't find one mushroom. It's been in the 80's during the day but getting down to the 50's at night.

Panaeolus subbalteatus is very rare in pastures in manure of cow.

They are more common in rotted and composting hay mixed with horse manure. They do not grow directly in horse manure.

They appear int he early spring before the hot summer months during the rainy periods. Not during hot summer and scantly in the fall monts before the cold comes.

Only a few here have found them in pastures and we have discussed this before as to who found them and what country or state they lived in.

The majority of manure subbs are scarce and rare and usually not enough to get one intoxicated. Usually less than five to ten are found in manure.

Mitchnast has a field, GGreatone234 has found sopme in pastures in oregon. I only found a few small handfuls in Manure in Kent in 30 years or so, One field on maui, and small one or two specimens every couple of years in a pasture on Oahu.

Angry Shroom has a great Compost heap near his home and Joshua once found a lawn with hundreds, which failed to return since.

Damn you got to it first. hehe.  Well gl on finding em.  Usually pastures have compost piles near the barn where they keep the horses in (well thats what I have noticed).
