Worlds biggest Pan subbs (pics)

i dont have the pics now, but i stumbled upon a dung heap COVERED with pan subbs and possibly casters, i picked a few hundred, all HUGE. the largest was unworldly.
4 inces accross the cap, stipe half an inch thick, 5 in tall. many of the subbs i picked are a foot tall. many are so sporulated they shimmer like crude oil. some are still fresh and supple with a lovely fawn ring. even they tho are big. i WISH i had a camera when i found them. this patch beats angryshrooms. sorry you wont get to see it on camera, but it just flat out beats it. no question, you wouldnt even DOUBT me if you saw it, and tomorrow, when i take the pics, and bring them back to this terminal, you will see the mushrooms. you will not beleive it. i diddnt. its just that unbeleiveable. seeya

ok, well, my patch beats yours, your pics are better. you see i went to my folks house and found the digital camera was away on a trip, so i had to use my shitty cam. but i have proof of my findings, i diddnt make an effort to PROOVE the foot tall subbs, but they were thin and tall, i found the massive bulky ones FAR more impressive. I left alot of mushrooms behind. basically i wanted them intact to proove their magnificance. i had them in piles in the backseat of the car, i actually had to back the car up to the dungheap because they piles were too much to carry, i had several burdock leaves full by the time i realized i just wasnt going to be able to pick them all. id say i probably picked a fraction of what was there.
here they are on my kitchen floor, i used a mortar (minus pestle) to show size, its 5 inches accross.
theres better pics, but i cannot download them because the shroomery is fucked up right now, hope this post goes through
heres a few nice big ones

ok, so it was my disk that fucked up, so 2 of the best pics corrupted in transit, i have to drive across 2 towns and back AGAIN to post them. FUCK!
but i DO have some pics of the biggest one
6 inches tall (lost an inch when picked, SHOULD be 7 inch)
3.75 inch cap
3/4 inch thick stipe.
not shown because of the fucking disk, large clear scan of some random mushrooms some big some huge, and the whole pile in a heap.

hmm, these pics are really hard to make out on this PC, they were fine on mine. well, ANYWAY, the print of this big one is ready, i have it packaged and sealed and ready to ship. i want to give it to someone who is experienced in cultivating an isolate from a wild print, it had bugs crawling in it its so contaminated, certainly a challange, but worth it. guarenteed potent, guarenteed an abundant fruiter and guarenteed a HUGE fruiting mushroom. should be as easy to grow as cubensis as long as its cased. anyone here experienced enough? i wanna call the strain "guildersons giant" wa ha ha ha

Mitchnast, you're the sub-master!
Huge caps!!!
I had no idea a pan subb could grow into giants like that..
It reminds me a lot of the larger Panaeolus antillarum's that i have found before; -It is not uncommon to find Pan antillarum's with caps that large.
Oh and the pan castaneifolius i do not think grow in cow fields, so i wonder what else it is you find. (?)
Keep shroomin, GGreatOne234

Man.. Wish I could find some.. for.. educational purposes, of course.
Can you get them to grow in grass clippings? I have a mound of compost consisting mainly of decaying grass clippings right in a secluded corner of my back yard. Now if only I can get some spores...

you could grow them in grass compost, ive seen it at golf courses, but the fruits are small and mutated. its more a matter of maintaining optimal colonization paramiters than aquiring spores, generally theres 100 paneolus subbaltaetus spores per square foot wherever you go in the world. (significantly higher concentrations in pastures, bovine intestinal tracts, and my kitchen)} that doesnt mean there going to grow.
