Re: the most universal human characteristic. [Re: BleaK]

Creation and death are universal to every human. What goes between these two cannot be said in some optimistic terms like love and hope, because there is no way to know if every human has experienced love and hope.

But even an aborted fetus has experienced creation and death, so a temporary existence is the only characteristic we know is applicable to every human, from a simple zygote to an enlightened prophet.

I've barely seen any universal human characteristics in this thread, but this one here is probably the most universal human characteristic there is.

Fear isn't a universal characteristic because not every human lives with the experience of fear. The same goes for strife, love, and hope (especially strife and hope ).

I'd even cast doubts on a heart beat as being a universal characteristic, but only in the regard of questioning what qualifies as a heart and a heart beat.... what if one has a mechancial heart and it doesn't beat, but goes "clunk"?

Peace. :mushroom2:
