This mushroom is a freak of nature........

While i was hunting the other day i can across this most amazing mushroom, it had 2 stems and 2 sets of gills and only 1 cap. Like wow where did this come from and why is there only 1 around?


What do you make of it? I have never seen anything like it before!

I have to admit that thatis one aswesome mushroom, I have seen caps fuse together before and parasetic shrooms grow form stems and caps of other shrooms but never one like that.

You should post it inthe grow log forum and I would nominated it for picture of themonth.

I have just posted it up in the grow log forum.

From my eye I reckon it is a Lepiota species and just freakishly distorted. The area it was discovered in had some very interesting finds and makes me think that there is a lot more to mushrooms than what people think. Mushrooms are messenger's from nature and we just have to tune it to what they are trying to tell us.

This one was found near bye and has a glowing aura........work that out?

That second one, looks to have a cloud of spores floating off it...I've seen that happening with oyster shrooms before, its quite amazing!

The 2nd one had a brown cap with a white ring on the margin. I had never thought about your idea of a cloud of spores. That could be it.
