Is there a way? I have some cool time lapse mushroom videos to share, but I can't compress them under 2 megs without totally ruining them.

Yes, get yourself some real hosting, and put them there. Then simply link to them using the [ url ] tags.

Alternatively, there are some file upload websites that let you upload large files, but they aren't permanent and they are very slow.

Also, you can put it up using bit torrent.

Finally, you can convert the mpegs to GIF, but the GIF file will be larger so you will have to resize them much smaller (which I guess might "ruin" it).

try using yousendit.com they allow hosting for up to 1.5gb of any file type

I'm trying to get a push to get my site up and running so I can start posting this stuff there. I'm making a series of instructional videos on mushroom cultivation that won't be ready until this summer sometime. I'd like to start getting some of the cool stuff up though. Keep an eye out for www.mushroomvideos.com within the next few weeks. I just have the splash page up now, but should have more very soon.

I'll post them on my site for you. I have about a dozen videos I made a while back that are all going to be linked on my site again. As well I"ve been playing around with video editing again and will be making some new mushroom vids.
