i would like to take lsd but dont enjoy the fact that if i ever die and an autopsy is conducted they will say he has tried las before is it true that traces will always remain??

no, and if it did why would you care if a autopsy found traces of lsd? you would be dead.

most of the lsd in a hit never even crosses the blood brain barrier; and the molecules of lsd in your brain (and elsewhere in your body) are "degraded" (broken down or metabolized) within an hour or so after ingestion (primarily by MonoAmineOxidase, but also by other enzymes, etc...)
so most of it is gone before you even really start to trip, and vitrually all of it is gone within a few days... oh, a very sophisticated (and expensive) test could possibly find metabolites for the next few days, but basically it will not be found in your tissues by any of the standard drug testing protocols...

This is just a myth that those old ladies who are against drugs made up so that people wouldn't try lsd. Obviously, it kind of worked. Anyways, no this is not true. LSD is probably the safest "man-made chemical" drug. It's not addictive, no harmful side/short/long term effects, etc.
They can trace you for lsd, I think with the hair tests they can test to see if you've done lsd within the last 6 months.

heard lsd itself was untracable [dont know] but whatever
else is in therell prolly show up
lsd doesnt settle in the spine.

Why is that BS? If the drug were not present in your system, you wouldn't be high on it. If I smoke a joint, there is THC in my system for the time I am high, if it were not there, I wouldn't be high.

Only about 1-10% of injected LSD is excreted unaltered, the remainder as a variety of degradation products.
That quote tends to point to the idea that effects CAN continue after all traces of the drug have left your system. I'm not saying that this is the case with LSD, but that it is possible.
