1) Average
2)PF and Birdseed
3)No contams on PF method, but do to errors in sterilisation(an hour and a half is a long time when you've been up for 20hrs) the birdseed had a pretty high contam ratio.
4)Colonisation was definately quicker, half pints of birdseed were colonised in a little over a week.
5)No re-use. may in the future though.
Final word of warning to all you micron magick users out there, make sure the disks do not stay wet. Molds thrive on the surface of the disks if it is wet and the mycelium tears through the disk into the substrate, its crazy. Other than that I am definately satisfied with these disks.

was thinking on useing them,but lets think about this you put a hole in the disk to put the needle in the jar.or you just open the lid and do it that way.now is it just me or does this not defeat the purpose of the filter.what am i missing here.i mean if you put a hole in the filter,you may get some comtamination.if you open the jar you may jet it .so in conclushion what are yous doing.not every one has a flow hood or a good clean room .i all ready have some ,but never have used them as did not want to put holes in them or lift the lid.just keep up the pf tec .all tho some contams still apear from time to time.care to fill me in on how the best way to use these are :-) thanks

After I inject through the filter disc, I cut another disc in half, and put the half piece on top of the injection holes and tighten the lid down, so far have not had any contaminates.

1. Delivery service was 48 hours we are relativly close so Average=I know they went out the next moring after my order.
2. a.I used with BRF
b. with rye grain
c. with dung and compost( they seemed to dry out kind of fast (the dung & compost)
--to fix the problem I upped the humidity in the incubation chamber-- and it helped.
3. No not really I had little to start with so
4. Yes it did increase my colonization.
5. as far as reusing yes some of them I always soak my jars in bleach water in a 18 gallon bin so I threw them in as well and I reused them(but they are still in use so I can't say much more) so 2 times thus far

I just recieved my disks last week, delivery time I must say is beetween good and average, I put them on some quart jars with millet 5 days ago, and so far evrything is great and there is no sign of contams so far

So far I have only put them on spawn bags. No contams and the substrate was straw. I have nothing to compare with since thes are huge bags.
