A New Species OF Psilocybian Mushroom

Okay, I promised that i would first post the picture here. I was able to get my scanner working after disasembling it but I found out today that i cannot hook my new Epsom printer to my HP scanner. They are not compatible so thanks to those who tried to help me install it. I will have to sell it to some one and then try to reinstall my old Lexmark, problem is is that I cannot find the driver disc now..
Here is the imatge of Gymnopilus luteofolius collected in wood chips in a clearing in at Deception Pass.
Although Hatfield, Valdez and A. H. Smith failed to find psilocine or psilocyine in this species They did find hispidin and bisnoryangonin, two substances also found in Kava Kava (piper mythisticum. I can guarentee that it is psychoactive and showed extreme bluing.
Later I will try Kinkos to get better color because the photograph has nice bluing in the mushrooms and very little showed up from me scanning it.

Wow MJ thats badass. And to think i live only a stone throw from that pass of deception. Identification would be tough for me however as they look nothing like other psilocybes i have picked. These were growing out of grass or what?? Dead log? Lets get some details here buddy.
Thanks-

Interesting. Arora has a pretty good description of this species (MD, pp. 409-410) but doesn't mention bluing.
Any ideas on potency? The related Gym. aeruginosus are quite weak (not to mention godawful bitter); these are maybe stronger?
Looking forward to the better pics.

Hmm.......I'd have to say that MJ is spreading false information. We'll have to consider the fact that this mushroom is not "NEW" and has been picked by many mushroom hunters, including myself. I will agree that it contains Psilocin, due to the bluing reaction.
I, myself actually found this mushroom growing in a mound of leftover wood-chips at a newly floored walking park locals refer to as "Huff n' Puff". It's interesting, though, as it doesn't at all resemble the famous Gymnopilus Spectabilis, or Fiery Agaric as some refer.
Good find, I will admit, but definitely NOT a NEW species!

"The only thing that Gartz and Guzman have in common is the fact that their last names start with G! Wait...........And they both have degrees in Mycology and were graduated in places other than Community Colleges, like me!.....O.K., O.K.. and......they're so prestigious, could only DREAM of spending a night with them under the moonlight! Maybe they have more in common than I thought!"-John Allen, aka MJShroomer.
