Stringing up some chicken fence would be about as cheap as you can get. I don't think it rusts, does it?

depending on what it's made of, it probablly rusts unless it's coated with something, most metals do.

Its usually painted but could rust at contact points where you hang it from scraping.

Go to home depot and check out your options. There are all sorts of shelves at walmart too. You can use chain and refridgerator shelves (found at home depot). Ask Magash about it..theres a thread somewhere..they have closet shelves that you hang that are like refridgerator shelves at home depot as well.

You could build your own shelves from pvc.

they have boxes of metal grids at walmart and target they come with 30 metal grids and have little connectors. there ment to be storage cubbies for kids rooms and stuff but i got them in my martha and they work great, plus there powder coated so no rust, i paid 16$ for one box and it was enough to fill the marth with more shelves than i need in there.

Not as easy as you may think. PVC is meant for 2-D..shelves are 3-D. They don't have the corner brackets you need to build it solid and easily. Not that its not possible..

I used closet shelves from Lowes. it was 7$ per 6' section. I bought 2 and had them cut them in half. Then set them up with chain and S hooks.

The shelf setup was 25$ total.

why does some one ask this everytime a post is started on martha when it has been answered almost everytime. man there endless things you can do with the bottom. its up to you a your like of whatever meets your needs. i dont recomend cardboard as it will get damp in the rh and eventually harbor contams, but for some ideas just do a search on martha and read through some of the post. I used a plastic drop cloth for painting and cut out a section 3 inch larger all the way around and duct taped it on. ive even heard some one say that they leave it open for co2 a place to exit, but unless you can provide it with a sterile floor to sit on. its up to you

it may be cheaper to just get a greenhouse type thingy and plastic the bottom up. Most already come with shelves. This ones $30

thanks man, i placed my order just a minute ago, but i went with the mini green house 4ft. x 6ft. the only problem is this didnt help me with the shelves but hey a mini green house for 49 bucks i couldnt pass it up seeing how i just got my pay check yesterday and i was itching to spend some money. maybe ill just put some of those rubbermaid plastic shed shelves in it. but i still havent decided if shrooms are what i want in it. it looks like it might be good for something else also. anyway thanks for the link man.
