Anyone looking into bulk tubs/mono tubs/shotgun hybrids?

Not really a tek but..some thoughts..

I like smaller casings these days but if you like bulk tubs

or were thinking of trying some, those white ones in front may be an option to look into. At Walmart they come like this

with two tubs that slide all the way out and the frame is stackable, so you can put 3 together, for 6 bins and stick them in a corner.
For lights..rope lights will fit into the frame of the shelf thingy

You just screw the clamps on that come with it.
Rope light on, no other lights or flash on camera


The two handle holes I stuffed with polyfil and just opened and fanned every so often, or left open a crack..theres a little space around the top for fresh air to get in too..a fan in the room is enough..but I'm sure one could drill some large holes at the casing surface to do a "monotub" or little holes everywhere to do a "shotgun" tub..Or even hook a hose up to the holes from a humidifier (stuffed in next to the polyfil, no attaching needed)

Use it where ever, however you see fit.

In a closet.

Next to a closet (no tubs in the pic, just the frame)



Other containers + ropelights = cool too

I was thinking about getting some crates just like that at big lots today. Everything starts looking different when you grow mushrooms.

Nice idea.  I actually had an extremely similar idea to this when I first started cultivating, but my drawers have holes punched in them already like a fc would, so it's like compartmentalized stackable shotgun fc's.  In fact I think I'll do that now that I've seen a visual on it, why the hell not, haha.  Thanks for the renewal of an idea!

Nice! that kicks ass! I thought of doing the exact same thing when I saw those in the store rofl!! I have a closet that one of those would fit on each side facing each other. the closet has a small radiator heater in it and an out lit and a light haha! and best part of all it also has a dead bolt, door way is also insulated like a front door. well rite on ! I'm glad to see some one tried this and it works fine :smile:

but you have 2 ORBS in the 2 pictures of the closet, the 2 photos where your standing back taking a pic of the closet itself...
very neat though id point it out, SINCE THE ORB IS IN THE SAME RELATIVE  place... you have a spirit watching over your grow... NICE!

I was eyeing up some similar tubs at lowes the other day, they were like $10 each, but I had some serious thoughts.  Glad to see someone put it into practice and is likeing it.

Thats an awesome idea. The rope lights is a realy smart way to provide light without taking up a bunch of room.
