I just saw that and can't agree with you more. Bill definitely got owned by that Constitutional rights guy. I'm actually fairly impressed he didn't edit that debate.

Haha, actually pretty funny story about that. The guy who dropped Badnarik's name was not originally supposed to be on. They were originally supposed to have a man named Dr. Dean Ahmad, who is a staunch libertarian and Badnarik supporter on:
Quote:
The show is off! O'Reilly has pulled an O'Reilly.
I was actually in the car being driven to the show when his deputy called me and informed me that although they would identify me as a Muslim supporter of Michael Badnarik, that I was not allowed to mention Michael's name on the show! I declined to accept those terms and they had the driver bring me back. Michael must really have the Republicans terrified!
I. Dean Ahmad (From a Badnarik Yahoo Group)
So they got the new guy on short notice and I guess he, deservedly, also fucked them over with the mention of Badnarik. Very nice.

Because we can't be safe from terrorism if you can just drop anyone's name like that.

Badnarik, personally, is against abortion. He says this is not because of religious convictions(many believe Badnarik to be either Deist or Agnostic though he has chosen not to reveal what if any religion he subscribes to) but because the scientific answer on when 'life' begins is so muddy and he therefore chooses to err on the side of the baby. HOWEVER, I used the word personally for a reason. Despite Michael's personal feelings he, unlike the majority of career politicians, isn't about having his beliefs legislated upon other people. Michael correctly believes that this should be a states rights issue as delineated by the 10th Amendment of the United States Constitution.

They are, of course. It cannot be denied though that there is no better way to spread the name and ideals of a party then through a Presidential Candidacy and the publicity it is supposed to(gj media blackout on non-Nader third party candidates) supposed to bring. Just look at what Ralph Nader did for the Greens.

Ya, the libertarians could only replace the Republicans if the religious and militant right became so marginallized as to be in the same kind of numbers as skinheads and anarchists.

Problem is, a vote for Kerry tells the DNC that you approve of what this candidate stands for. The proverbial powers that be do not care about your gripes with Kerry's horrendous stances on many issues. If they have your vote that is more than enough for them, and moreso it tells them they can keep pumping out shithouse candidates and that you will keep voting for them. This is why I stress people to have the strength of their convictions and to vote their conscience. If you happen to think what Michael Badnarik and the libertarians believe in is the right direction for this country, as I do, then great, welcome aboard. If you believe the Green Party/Ralph Nader is where the country should be headed, ALSO GREAT, I would seriously be happier to see you vote Green than Libertarian if that's where your beliefs lie. When you keep voting for the lesser of two evils you can't end up with anything but evil. Vote your conscience and sleep easy the night of November 2nd. Please.
