again though this is a old afff thread I took that SS of so who knows what's changed in the myco world since then lol

RGS (supplemented coffee) is a great master jar option. It has lots of hull which seems to be metabolized by this specific species.  Coffee helps offset the low nitrogen ratio due to extremely small seed kernels

With the massive inoculation points, it gets in the spaces when g2g a teaspoon to pint of oats/wheat etc. Often giving 7 day turnaround.

Hulls seem to give protection too if myc has colonized the inside, and recovers way faster after g2g / being broken up

I've had much less success using RGS mycobags tho.  I think bulk should be fatter kernel with far better flushing sustain.

Might inhibit stone growth as the myc will never feel stressed enough to go into colony-protect mode,  where smaller seeds can be fully colonized and hit that threshold

I mainly fruit though, not much of a stone trip fan, and there little fruits are dynamite

Wild. I remember I didn't try growing them years and years ago
due to the fact that a few claimed Grass-seed was absolutely needed for them.

I mostly use popcorn for them, seems pretty good too 🥳

If you pluck a stone and put it back in sub will it continue to grow/ colonize?

I have often taken stones left over from a grow chopped them up into small pieces and put them in field capacity hydrated coir and they produce mushrooms

This is nothing but stones left over from a grow that I replanted just for the heck of it

Nice, exactly what I wanted to hear ,🤓

Think this'll pan out to anything? I plucked some stones from it then threw a lil more cior ontop. ..

Yeppers, this novelty grow was done the same way. Just stones in coir. Mine didn't produce much, but it does work.

Just remember tons of humidity and water, but no pooling of water on your substrate. Keep the humidity high and 80° would be optimal.

I am currently fruiting Mexicana at the lower end of the spectrum, lowers 70's (took a few more days than usual to pin, I prefer 75-79), if the tent hits 69f, it's for a very short period of time, and will be back up to 71-72 (or higher, I haven't been below 69f) very quickly, but heaters kill ambient rh conditions, good thing I have a 3-disc.

First pin, both 12qts, one pin popped first, but nearly identical places in the tub.  There are more pins now (pic from yesterday), just getting revved up.

Yay my pill machine showed up today so I had enough from the last harvest to do 140 pills. They are half a gram each should last quite a while.

That’s super great
I wish I would’ve done this years ago. I think my number one reason to do it is consistency and the potency of each pill.
After Blending the whole harvest together, I know each trip is gonna be a consistent potency and it’s so easy to take four pills

THE 000 pills when filled are  half a gram each and I vacuum pack the jar so I estimate the shelf life to be about five years
