you have a good image to hang on to, something to trip out on, psychedelic teddybear

"will you let go of this image too?"

my philosophy is to reconnect with the moment before the image you have been clinging to fades - the arc of Mara - persisting images - illusion.

it includes being aware that we basically are noticing and reacting to change.
no matter how sophisticated that reaction is, it is reflexive and conditioned.

The arc of Mara...this sounds like a famous/ancient story

Could you enlighten us to the idea of it or the myth of it?

we work naturally with time and motion by recognizing and following trajectories.
trajectory assessment and associative thinking become the reflexes that shine in sports, hunting, traffic, and even in dialog.

most trajectories are arcs. my reference to the arc of Mara (goddess of illusion) is to the familiar issue of hanging on to something that seemed right a moment ago, but the situation has shifted.

not a famous mythology but we all do it - every preconceived notion is this.

it's not a crime, it's not a defect, but it detracts from being in the moment.

Ah yes

Mara... I know her by the name of Maya

Situations change and each situation requires its own response

Very well put, Kaptain

Mara is the male version. I meant the female version.

Reasoning is used to sort through knowledge and perceptions...

To acquire knowledge you need do nothing, because you learn in every moment regardless of what you do..

Yes, reasoning is the act of 'filing' all sense perception into a 'filing cabinet' so that the perceptions can be easily found/remembered and cross analyzed between all other sense perceptions

This whole process is known as logic/reasoning and learning is simply making connections between all of the 'filed' sense perceptions
