Ha watch, you'll end up with a canopy!

When you get some normal coir, the ratio of 1:4.25 is a general start point. Like Dug said, you have to check for field capacity, grab a handful and squeeze- a few drops to should come out.

You are right. A couple days later the proper coir arrived. I hydrated it and psuedo-pasturized it. I mixed the coir into the tub with the grain an bark. It is doing better than my pure coir shoebox from the same isolate. Its all pinned and knotted up.

Should a 2nd SAB be used for recovery procedures? I have a rye bag that was almost fully consolidated, so I moved it to my workbench two days ago(I line up my tasks so as I finish a SAB session I can set up for the next at the same time), it has since developed trich on the shorter sides of the block. I don't think this should be wasted, I believe I could trim the exterior and still move to substrate with ~75% of the colonized grain.

Nevermind Xzibit must has snuck into my house over night 😅

Anybody have experience with the electric prestos? Specifically the presto 02154(16qt) model or 02153(23qt)? They are expensive, but damn do they look sleek and convenient.

I'm happy with my 16qt stovetop, but maybe one day.. if I can verify they are worth it for what we do. I'd be hesitant to spend the money otherwise :mushroom2: thanks in advance:mushroom2:

No experience.

but ijust recently brought this topic up as well.

And I'm definitely intrigued If it weren't for the fucking price

The discussion concluded withit's better/cheaper

to buy the induction compatible Presto and get yourself an induction plate and you can basically achieve the same effect and have the same comforts for a fraction of the cost

What's really peaking my interest is its ability to hold in the heat while also being quieter. Would keep my kitchen from being a hissing sauna:hehehe:

The cost is high... But considering this is my primary hobby I'm strongly considering it.

I have the 16 qt. model. The timer is nice, otherwise I never use it in favor of the stovetop 23 qt.  It doesn’t have an external pressure gauge so you have to trust it, which I also didn’t care for. It did work though.

They are albinos so it is possible they could be an APE or PEU lineage.

For sure it’s less noise, and I think you are correct about the heat. Less heat is put off than the 23 qt. Stovetop. In my case it’s smaller though so not an apples to apples comparison. You Can start a cycle and go to work, which is awesome. Not babysitting is nice.

From what The Advocates say you can achieve  this for the mist part.  . With the induction plate. And some extra  weights on your rocker

I'm completely in agreement with you.. as soon as I saw the thing. I came on here and was like I would have gotten this in the first place if I knew it existed.

I'm basically with you. I want the full ease and comfort of the instant pot with the same real estate as my 23presto

Apparently it's more energy efficient as well which is a bonus. Man, the idea of new cultivation tools is exciting :hehehe:

Is there an induction plate that is recommended for the induction style presto?

I got a hotplate once to try and move my presto out of the kitchen, but it never had the power to bring it up to pressure in a reasonable amount of time

Meh the difference from the 12 psi banshe screeming trash knockoff psi to the real presto 23 qt I added quarters to n quiet as the crickets I can't ask for more just yet 🥵

I did 5 PC runs with my bunk PC before I realized it was the cause of 100% contam rates bagahahaha

This is basically what you're paying the extra money for.  If you get the electric presto, the only noise you will have is when the PC vents all the air out, from then on its basically silent

For me, I do my PCing in the garage where making noise aint a problem, but yeah if you want to make as little as noise possible,  you'll have to decide if its worth the extra $250 USD. Which if you are more monitarily abundant ($$$$$$),  that could possibly be chalked up to a sound investment

Yeah I meant to to also say that I want a vessel that's the same size as my Presto that also actually reaches 15 psi..

unlike the insta but still has all the bells and whistles ease and Comforts of the instapot.  And to not have to pay $459.99.. would be the perfect setup. In my opinion

Kloakk just recently posted the one he uses.  Might be quicker to just ask him directly as opposed to looking for it
