For each 1/2 pint jar mix 2/3 cup vermiculite and 1/4 cup brown rice flour in a mixing bowl. Adaptation-23 When these ingredients are well mixed, add 1/4 cup of water for each 1/2 pint jar you plan to prepare
step 7. get a large mixing bowl and put 1/2 cup of vermiculite in the bottom, level out.
step 8. cover the vermiculite with 1/4 cup of the ground rice flour evenly.
step 9. sprinkle on 1/4 cup of spring water.
so what is the right ammount i should use also what is the best way to get my incubator to 85 degress to start the grow in the jars a heating pad with like towels over it or what thank you for all the help

1/8 cup of brown rice powder (Health food stores and co-ops) 1/2 - 2/3 cup of horticultural vermiculite (medium grade) (garden centers and hardware) 40-45 cc's (milliliters) of water or (a little less than 1/4 cup) (1&1/2 ounces) (3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon)
which is the right one 1/2 or 2/3?

depends - different flour sources and particle size, different verm particle size, even different water. somewhere between 50% and 65%. don't worry too much about it. try the fungifun.org link above, for a great way to get the water content right.

You might want to check the PF formula update : http://www.fanaticus.com/pf-update.htm
Or prepare the substrate acording to this: http://www.fungifun.org/pf/pf_en.htm
