I'm gonna do two months so nothing major but that's beside the point. Not that the vibes are off per say just getting used to the fact that another guy is gonna be around my daughter now definitely is gonna take getting used to especially with how everything went down.

You got this..  2 months is a good little stay. Make the most of it. Good way to shape up fitness wise. Nice break from substances too hopefully.. not sure if you've done time before but I'll share a bit of my experience.

I'd just keep my head down, exercise, eat lots and stay away from drugs in there. We have a lot of ODs in our jails here from fentanyl tainted drugs and you will probably see some fights in 2 months there.

I only got punched in the face once during my 100 day stay. Had the craziest cellmate transcribing the Bible into numbers. I told him to shut up one night and he attacked. He was making me recite weird religious anti Satan shit while hitting me in the legs. I was really close to kicking him in the face as I had the perfect angle.

Anyways, about an hour later I had to piss so hopped off my bunk and he just nailed me in the nose splitting it open. I layed in my bunk bleeding all night then went and showed guards. Had to go for a road trip in handcuffs to hospital for some stitches to the nose.

I connected with some people I hadn't seen in a long time in there and talked psycadellics with some guys. One old hippy wouldn't shut up about stories from back in the day, no one could handle being his cellmate but I did it for a while. We had a don Juan book there. Read that and a few other books.

At the end of the day it's not as bad as you'd think and is kinda like a really weird all inclusive hotel stay if you look at it right.

As a side note, jail time for graffiti is bs. The punishment should be a weekend with a pressure washer and a bucket of paint

^ yeah, community service. Its absurd the cost of imprisoning someone for non violent crime, but there are profits to be made in the dysfunctional US system, gotta disenfranchise and get slave labor.

Awful, best of luck, stay strong, and maybe having a sitdown with the guy could be good? Not to intimidate him, but like, establish a sense of trust?

It won’t be my first time so I do know what to expect it it still sucks nonetheless. Thank you all though I appreciate you very much. I also have until October second to teach my brother how to keep everything growing and going good until I’m back out and he’s a slow learner lol

A good friend is a great graffiti artist, one of his friends got grabbed for a second offense and was presented with a 20k fine or month in the slammer. He did the month and it was fine. This is in central Europe.

I confess I took my daughter to the farmer's market today for the first time all season and had a gay old time. It was right in front of the library so after she fell asleep on my back I went and found a cool horror graphic novel. Now time to try to manipulate some mycelium.... Hope u guys had/have good daysm

Also, I'm zo sorry about the injustice you're facing, awfullot. That punishment is disproportionate to the "crime" and you dont deserve it :/

Atta boy!  Just be very careful and make sure you let it come down to 0psi before you open it. And 0psi doesnt mean its not still skin melting hot.

The first time I used my PC I opened it without mitts and the steam that came out boiled the skin  on my fingers it a fraction of a second. I dont think ive ever had a burn that bad in my life. It blistered so bad that I could shine a light through it 😬

My fingernails still have a ripple in them from a few months ago 😅

Go nuts but respect the thing!

I just finished catching up from today's chat. First of all, great perspective from Churp. Hippie, your story is so beautiful and inspiring; it really gives me hope. And Puff, I can't fathom being so strong. Supporting three on $8/hr would literally kill me.

This is so hard for me to understand. Like Churp, I said I'd never have kids because of the horrific state of the world. But I wasn't on birth control and life's primary imperative is reproduction. Who am I to tell millions of years of evolution "no, I will it not."?

Now, my PTSD symptoms have put me out of work and I'm finding myself having to find alternative means of income generation similar to Puff. It just feels like I'm doing it all wrong. It feels like it's wrong to be a stay at home mom, wrong to choose to make money on my own terms, wrong to even have a child when I don't even know what I'm doing. I always feel like someone knows the right way to live and I'm too bullheaded and defective to listen.

I mean, one could argue that rising above our evolutionary programming is a cornerstone of any halfway functioning society.  Evolutionary programming says I should eat everything I can lest I starve.  Except, that will (and has) make me fat and could outright kill me with a fuckin coronary.  Evolutionary programming tells me to fuck anyone and everyone I can to spread my genes.  Except, I'll just end up getting AIDS if I do that.

Evolution led us to becoming a highly social species, but left a looooooooot of bullshit behind that's incredibly antisocial.  Rising above it is one of the things that makes us human.

Honestly, the idea I shouldn't tell it to fuck off when it so much as inconveniences me smacks of naturalistic fallacy.  Hemlock's natural, after all.  Don't mean it won't kill your ass stone dead if you eat it like a moron.
