I've certainly dunked swabs that immediately produced vigorous and uniform growth, in which case ya that's my assumption as well.

If I'm going to inoculate a pf-style cake with an agar wedge, should I skip the dry layer? Seems like that would be counterproductive and unnecessary.

I transfer 2 pieces from each dish (DC Mac & Jack Frost) too 2 Jars LC in a Still Air Box with lot of caution but wasn't easy the lids was so tight from the pressure cooking but i give it a good slap underneath then it was OK i also cover the lid with a piece of cotten full of ISO for better safety too the transfer hope it was a success but all my Agar dishes looks total fine no Contam after 2-3 transfers so thinks going right with my work! Will test the LC soon on Agar too at the same time with Spwan if it's contam I throw it away but I don't waisting time wait for the LC grow on Agar when it's fine then i know the Spawn also being ok.

mold would be crazy considering i hydrated, dried, and sterilized these all within 24 hours, and this pic is after 12 hours of sitting in a 65°F room... I don't know everything, but I feel 99.999% certain that that's just dry grain skin....
