Vulcanizadora - 7/10

This movie unsettled me and made me feel weird! It's not that engaging at first, and it has some funny moments in the beginning. The premise and overall story were extremely unsettling. I'm not giving away the premise or ending, but if anyone has ever been in the mindset of the storyline, you'll know what I mean.

The Old Man and the Gun (2018) - Robert Redford's last film, what a great way to cap his great career!

The Fifth Element(1997) 8/10 a feast for the eyes and hits all my favorite sci fi notes. There are some pacing issues and some tonal inconsistencies that keep it from being a 10.

:awesomenod:
fifth element is super green, like pond green... tree green

last time I watched, 200ug and dabbed up. Hadnt seen it since childhood.

I found it so delightful & confusing, and also unlocked some pretty deep subplots that quite unkindly failed to reemerge when I convinced my gf watch it with me, for them specifically, the following morning while I was still up tripping.
:huxleyfacepalm:

this scene had me laughing so much I couldn't breathe:

what an incredibly good lookin movie, when I seen Jean Paul Gaultiers name in the intro credit I recall being confused as fuck.

For me its maybe even a 9/10 . The cut you get to watch on acid is about 7 & half hours long as well, give or take a week.

Really enjoyed that one.  The director, Joel Potrykus, makes great slacker-style films.  Relaxer might be my favorite of his.

Korean thriller drama [Re: cenacle]

No other choice.

10 out of 10.
This movie felt very apropos.
It's about a guy who is being laid off after 25 years because the industry is changing so he needs to secure this job he applied for no matter what.
It was devastating, beautiful and sad.
It also has a really excellent original soundtrack.

Really excellent job by the lead actor again.
I also really want people to notice some of these very interesting and very cool moves they make when they're transitioning through scenes.
Particularly awesome editing and blending effects were used that I thought looks so cool.

28 years later the bone temple
7 1/2 out of 10

It was a very engaging movie.
I felt like there were some interesting stakes and good character development.
There is only really 3 gross out scenes in the whole movie which is a little surprising.
You have to draw your own conclusions from the ending.

I suppose I would recommend that somebody see this especially if they had seen the previous two movies. But I don't really feel like there's any reason to watch it again.

Disclosure Day (2026) is a SF morality play - the old line that the only things that could bring world together would be nuclear war or an alien invasion. I quite enjoyed it. In a dark dark time, a great film about hope, the struggle for hope, is really needed. Thank you, Mr. Spielberg!

Man I fucking hated that film. Was a real disappointment from a Spielberg film and was very predictable.

I can see why you and others have said that, I heard that opinion a lot before seeing it so I had lower expectations and actually really enjoyed it, not a perfect film but much better than I thought going into it.

Emily Blunt was fantastic. She's a very good actor. But that was my only compliment. Probably if it was by another director I would have had less expectations though

Hollywood Hell. 6/10
It covers all the dangers of actresses and Hollywood hills mansion parties conspiracies, lol! Fun horror movie, but also has a tone of "what if this is real" to it.

Good Boy 6/10
Unconventional horror movie. Sad, moody, and poignant with a neat twist on what a "horror" movie is/supposed to be.
