I just saw "HEAD" (with The Monkees) for the first time yesterday. I thought it was pretty damn entertaining. I'm suprised that I'd never heard of it before. I thought Davey Jones's song&dance with the alternating black-white-black-white-black-white set/wardrobe was really well done for a 30+ year old movie. Actually I'm just assuming it was black-white-black-white-black-white... I have a black&white TV... heh.. for all I know it could be purple & green. Going to watch it at a friend's house tonight, so I'll find out then. -The iMJ

All the critics hate The Blues Brothers but I know few here would under rate it. Amazon Women on the Moon The Adventures of Ford Fairlane Ace Ventura, Pet Detective Waynes World And a hundred other movies that you have to be baked to fully appreciate their stupidity. I guess that even goes for bad Kevin Costner movies! They're all bad! They're all good! . Anybody ever pick out Jim Carrey in the Dirty Harry movie The Dead Pool?

Well I don't know how well The Usual Suspects did at the box office but Kevin Spacey won an oscar for it.I think The Deer Hunter won a few oscars too but I may be wrong. Also I think Apocolypse Now did rather well. A few movies that come to my mind... Permanant Midnight American History X The Ice Storm Jacobs Ladder(wierd thing that it is) Bird Murder in Mind(I think thats what its called,an interesting if somewhat confusing thriller) Thunderheart Bad Ronald(A VERY chessy and very wierd movie from the early 70's,there is a long story as to why I like this movie but its worth watching to laugh and to be a little spooked out at the same time) The Last Supper(not a relgious movie but a black comedy about a group of liberal grad students that take to murdering conservitive dinner guests) ------------------ The dude abides [This message has been edited by Parker (edited July 08, 2000).]

SPINAL TAP!For the love of God I can't believe people didn't mention this great movie. There's one extremely funny line in it, it goes somelike this (been a while) [British accent plz]: "I admit it, some of the stuff we did when we were young was just...just...terrible. But this new stuff is much more mature, take our new hit song Sex Farm Woman, it takes the idea of sex and adds the whole new aspect of being on a farm. Yeah, you know...whatever."

I love the movie Harold and Maude, you just have to see this movie once. I had a lazy teacher in high school who showed my class this movie one day. I agree with Thorvidar Once were Wariors was great. It has to be one of my favorite movies. City of the Iost Children was very interesting. But it's hard to read subtitles and watch a movie......

Contact. One of the best movies ever. This thing is *about* the psychedelic experience. It's about humanity, and their reaction to the unknown. It's incredible.American Beauty. Yes, I know it practically swept the academy awards. But it's STILL underrated. -Hatta

Otherwise the only 2 movies that come to mind now as underrated are Fight Club and The Usual Suspects. Just thought of another good little know movie. How about Lolita Now THATS a movie![This message has been edited by RAvaGE (edited July 20, 2000).]

Have to agree with crappy, the kids in the hall movie 'Brain Candy' was really good.A few people mentioned Fight Club. Its not under rated, it got great reviews and everyone I've talked to loved it. The Matrix might be a bit under rated. A lot of people say the whole movie was special effects but I think the plot was really good. The Game, I cant remember the ratings it got but I think it should be more popular for how good it is. Also Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma, Kevin Smith is a genius. ------------------ [img]http://members.fortunecity.com/jude_star/tag.JPG[/img] http://www.board.to/jungle
