Hope it's mycelium, it looks like that after 2 days, soon it will be half of the plate

This is a scalpel scrape plate. I also have two inoculation loop plates that also show some growth right now.

With bisporus I'm planning to fruit in Martha I'm using also for gourmet.

With cyanescens, which I think also started germinating I'll have to figure out sth else, as I don't have high enough temperature in my flat. Probably I'll use aquarium heater and air pumps for trays in big Samla. I hope it will work

I had the same experience with staggers print. thats some good stuff

For anyone who hasn't worked with bisporus before,
just be aware that bisporus mycelium can look questionable af.. especially on grain.

How do you keep them from collapsing in on themselves?

Maybe it’s some variety? I have same situation, it looks more likely like cobweb and olive color but other shroomers showed their plates and it looks identical to syan.

Fold the back corners on top inside a little bit and two small binder clips on the side

With those two things combined, the bags stay in whatever position I put them in

One of the trays in my dreamer TTBVI only 48 hours in! No casing yet

Unbelievable colonization speed! It even has a thin pseudocasing to cover naked grains!

but thats a big temp range. I use sous-vide highly precise temp. So set water to 155f and then have a thermometer in the middle of the container. So should I do 1 hour strawboy style or 2 hours kloakk style?

Both are viable. I legit neglect tek my peat n verm toss it in a bag get pot of boiling rolling water dump it all in ziplock and mix by hand with bag closed then let sit for a hour πŸ™ (this probably doesn't properly pasteurize though have had very few problems from it aside from trich if I let grains be exposed on surface of tubs or I don't properly drain the peat to field capacity

That's the standard range for preserving beneficial microbes. I start the clock as soon as the core temp reaches 140f. I just use my stove top. If Kloakk's method uses a sous-vide then go with that because I have no experience with it. Also, if something goes wrong then we can blame him.

He doesnt sous-vide but he told me to keep it at temp for 2 hours. I guess it dont matter too much lets just DO IT!

Should I let the trays consolidate for a day or two after 100% colonization before applying the casing?
