Yeah that was my plan. Currently have spores on plates awaiting germination.

I am however tempted to clone the first/best leucistic sample for shits and giggles in the interim. That is assuming they make it to maturity.

The culture in question actually performed quite well, aside from the pigmentation situation. Would you still recommend not putting my energy into cloning these specifically, or just later flush fruits in general?

@Rumfor, re: your suggestion in QQ’s - it was purchased as an LC. So presumably some sort of clone/isolate. Super even pinning/maturation vs past MS experiments. The spores I have available were printed from (non-Lucy) first flush fruits that I selected. If that changes anything :lol:

Could you post some AA+ on plates? I’m finding growth on agar is uniquely non-rhizo with this variety and couldn’t find a ton of references digging around here.

I’ve never see n anything particularly strange about the myc, maybe your sample is contaminated, it’s not as rhizo as some but also never been tomentose/fluffy for me.

This is t1 from aa x melmac f1 spores but it looks like my aa typically does. Its the only aa related plate i have that isnt fully grown out

First attempt was MSS > Grain > bulk, was super bacterial, so started over on agar.

Currently on my 2nd attempt: MSS > Agar > T2 to Rye > S2B (CV)



(Never had myc look like this - poofy but consistently round, not sure if the myc is meshed with bacteria or just vigorous. I also have some T3's, those look the same)

Jars smelled fine when I S2B'ed, but there were metabolites / minor moisture in the jars.

2 shoeboxes currently running, almost a week in and colonizing normally (for now). Myc still looking really dense and white, smell is fine... fingers crossed

First grow in a few months, first run with AA+ and happy with how they performed. Vigorous and lots of pinning on plates before spawning. Potency seems slightly above average.

I was quite surprised with the density of these shorties. Flush weighed in at just under 3oz.

AA+ Tub 1 - Isolate B - 1125 g wet from first flush



AA+ Tub 2 - Isolate C - 1080 g wet from first flush



Isolate A is taking a little longer and also had less spawn so i just made a smaller shoebox style tub

Just a typical cubensis trip.


There’s not really any consistent differences between cubensis varieties as far a the trip goes. Even growing the same kind twice will prob have slightly different effects.

I'm a complete newbie and not very savvy with this site yet. I couldn't get the images to load properly so I'll tell you my issue. I made a liquid culture syringe out of liquid spores. The liquid that came in the bottle came with the shroomtek aio bag i bought.i purchased (AA+). After about a week after injecting the liquid spores from syringe to bottle i looked at them and the syringe isn't doing much of anything, but the vial of the spore syringe injection is doing good except there are black spots or flakes in the vial. The mycelium looks great except for the black things. I've seen videos showing good mycelium that had stuff in it as well but i don't know if this is the case for AA+ liquid spore syringe. Someone PLEASE HELP!!!!! Any help appreciated.

P.S. can someone tell me how to get pictures and very short videos to upload instead of just the url address. I am grateful for any help.

Good evening,

I inoculated a liquid culture from AA+ spore syringe on 1-2-2025. On 01-10-25 i checked an syringe wasn't doing much but the vial had a lot of mycelium growth. I inoculated one aio bag with what was in syringe and if i see good mycelium growth i will draw up some of the liquid culture and inoculate another aio bag. Providing everything goes well and I'm in a calm setting, what kind of trip can i expect from them? I've only tripped on shrooms once, lsd several times. But this was all back a long time ago. I'm 5'8" and #150. I have severe and complex PTSD from the military and law enforcement. I'm hoping these will help. Didn't know what kind so just got AA+. They're supposed to be good for beginners.I also have 2 month old refrigerated tosohatchee mushroom spores. Which will help me more with anxiety, depression, guilt, anger and more. I only want 2 work on one thing at a time. My wife wants to trip with me and she has never tripped before. She has PTSD from law enforcement. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

I'd say it doesn't really work like that, there are way too many variables to say x mushroom is good for x problem. it's up for discussion how much the type of strains (most magic mushrooms on the market are one species, Psilocybe cubensis, both you mention are) affects the trip, and as trips are a subjective experience it's really hard to say, impossible to quantify. potency varies between mushrooms, between grows, as well as between strains. Definitely pay attention to how potent your mushrooms are supposed to be, and how big a dose you take. Set and setting (mindset and the setting you're in) are often considered super important. Setting you can do something about, chill is good, a lot of people want to be out in nature. But mindset is the real problem area, imho, lol.

You can always start at low-ish doses and aim to have an enjoyable evening with your wife, see how that goes, treat it recreationally, and also learn what you're messing with that way. But for therapeutic purposes, maybe do some more reading, chat more to people who use it for those purposes. Perhaps think about talk therapy in conjunction with medicine. As psychedelics start being used in the mental health area, many models now have a patient dose in the company of a guide or therapist, or 'tripsitter', and also spend some time afterward - a day or two later - talking through the trip for purposes of 'integrating' the experience, which can be a really important part of therapy.

I don't think shrooms are a magic bullet either that are going to rid you of all demons. I think they can help point the way - like good therapy does - but some shit you're going to have to work out for yourself. If you can.

Some Albino A+ on a first flush. These are a nice variety of Cubes to definitely ease into an internal mental therapy session for oneself. I was giving these to a friend I met at a local gas station who was in a depressed state and was getting off doing coke and well after a few sessions of him doing these he actually was able to completely get off coke, he felt a ton better about himself and got back into exercising. It took not just these mushrooms to get him out of a funk but he did alot of other work for himself to get better. But he said it did help him go in the direction of healing himself :]
