Edit: for this thought experiment I'm taking humidity out of the equation because a warm tub of water will basically give me as much as I want. I'm really only thinking of how fresh air moves.

This, but if you gotta got rogue with it, searching "dermatology kit" or "pimple popper kit" on amazon, temu, aliexpress, etc will get you something like this. They can be had in induction-compatible alloys for under $10.



They look super neat but most of them aren't that useful. Tweezers are nice for pulling myc samples, and the pokers are good for bag holes. But I suppose they could do a smash wedge.

All five cakes show the same condensation.

I prepared it using the classic 2:1:1 ratio. It's on its second day of consolidation. During colonization it didn't show this condensation, until it fully covered the outside.

I understand it could be due to the mycelium's metabolic activity, but honestly I'm not really clear on it.

That looks wetter than it should be but also clean. Metabolites are usually stress response, and are redbull colored (clear yellow-amber-ish). Bacterial liquid is cloudy or more blotchy.

If that water wasn't there before, it makes me wonder if the whole block is shrinking and creating space, squeezing liquid out etc. What's your FAE/ventillation like on there? If there's a lot, that could explain it. Or it's just mixed a bit wet. Regardless, it invites trouble, but it isn't trouble in itself. Looks fine to me.
