Hey man i know this thread is old, I was just curious how much LME you'd add for the 300ml jars, i know you said you like 2g lme for 500 ml.

I like 0,2% DME(dry malt extract) for LC. So for 300ml of LC that would be 0,6g DME.

Depends which community you ask  Homebrewers will tell you that LME is liquid malt extract and DME is dry malt extract, here on the org LME is light malt extract and the dry part isn't mentioned because it's obvious I guess, I'm coming from homebrewing so I'm trying to convert everyone over to DME, mostly because I'm old and don't like change, but also because if anyone reading want to buy some light coloured dry malt extract they should search for DME and not LME.

Again I know this thread is extremely old but it's all new to me, If I have a box of 150 brand new sterile 16g needles I dont need to bother heating the tip before doing the poke do I? Just connect it to my sterile syringe of water pull the cap off the new sterile needle and poke right?

If it’s a brand name needle and labelled as sterile I wouldn’t heat it. If someone was going to draw a blood sample from me and heated the needle first I’d run.
If it makes you feel better to heat it that’s a different matter.

Yea I would not want to see that at the doctors office lol, I have no problem heating it with a syringe i haven't used all of the contents in but it def seems counter intuitive with a sealed sterile needle.

Think for josex poke u want a 21 to 23 gauge syringe tip not 16.

16 is very wide.more material transfered = higher contam chance

Id use 14 to 16 to suck up or dispense lc though I wouldn't do it for the initial josex poke to inoculate

Awesome man thanks, I ended up googling it like a should've done from the beginning but i appreciate it lol. Beautiful mushrooms, do you think their harder than b+ to grow? I know they like manure based substrates i think, and I have like 15lbs ready to grow that i bought to get back into the hobby.

Yes in some aspects pans a harder to grow then cubes, mostly because they need a nutritious substrate, a proper casing, higher temperatures and a good method for pasteurizing. For best results a automated fruiting setup is needed, but you can do pans in tubs and still get more then enough as they are very potent :awesomenod:
