Yeah I've been thinking just that. From here on in, anything I get from these 2 is a bonus. They've been a unmitigated success. I honestly can't believe my luck, I was prepping myself for the prospect of dealing with the disappointment of failing. But I'm 2 for 2.
I have no intention of stopping, I'm gonna get another 2 kits. But as they doing their thing, I'm gonna look into to the most cost effective way to have a self sustaining mushroom farm. I imagine I will need to get to grips with spores, cultures, plates and tubs. Tho daunting, I'm looking forward to it, I'm a good study and I love getting stuck into a project.
Doing this has also helped me with my other project, it gave me the incentive to do it properly and put the work in, and just like the shroom tek, I can clearly see a massive improvement.
So this whole thing has been a massive plus for me, above and beyond the tripping balls thing. It might actually be making me better, not just better at mycology, but all round better.

Go for it, but if you wanna know what I found. The process was sound and went well. I'm not totally sure if I got the dose right. I was going for, a unmistakable buzz, you defo won't be asking if it's working. But not a full on trip. Unless you wanna take 3/4, but I know they worked, and my mates are hardcore, but I afta admit I was disappointed with the buzz. But more importantly as that is a matter of how much dried mushrooms I use. The main problem was that they didn't keep well and they were not looking like that the next day. I couldn't stop them going wet, even slimy.
I'm doing chocolate next. 100g and 14g of dried mix of APE's and golden teacher. I wanna add almond too.
Hopefully it's a better keeper and better hit. I'll let you know.

So I've done a batch of chocolates and I didn't want to make the same mistake as I did with the gummies, so I made 120g of milk chocolate, chopped almonds and 12g of golden teacher and Albino penis envy dried and ground. Not only are they fully bloody lovely, having had half of one, I write this now, in a lovely state, slightly dazed, somewhat confused, but I'm not ever far from a beaming smile. But also the same old doubts of, who you kidding Juz, you a loser and always will be, standard!
I'm not saying that is right and even if it is, I will be a hard bodied, debonair, razor sharp witted, devastatingly handsome. I can't even pretend I'm a young man anymore. Ha! Ain't time a bitch, the older you get the more you realise how much you didn't know.

Hi there, I didn't want to be banging on with it not having to do with shroom tek. So I've waited till I was ready to begin my second project.
I'm waiting on an inflatable monotub and CVG substrate mix, to hopefully be coloniesed by a B+ pre coloniesed grow bag. As the main project.
As well as a McKenaii all in one grow bag, to hopefully set fruiting right away.
I should have it all by weekend. I'd love to start a new thread for my next adventure. If poss. I could just pick up where I left off. And I wanna be sure all the same guys got to see them, cos you guys were great.
From my APE's I got 3 flushes, my golden teachers 4.

Hi, Kloaak, it great to hear from you again. I hope you and yours are well.
I can't honestly say I always manage it. But not known for my optimism and sunny disposition. I try see ever day outta the gutter a win. But 2 an a bit years straight, it's easy to forget how shit my life was, and I can easily start feeling sorry for myself. But I'm fit, healthy and excited for my new project, the sun's shining and I do genuinely feel like I'm winning today.
Regarding the monotub. Taking all things into consideration, space, the maths around quantity, size, etc, speed and cost. I'm thinking this might be my best way to get bigger rolling flushes, for hopefully the cost of one kit a pop, until I get into spores, agar and petree dishes. I'm sure it makes you experienced guys whince. Fingers crossed

I'm pretty good man, there's always something around the corner to drag me down, but that's part of the human experience I guess :rockon:

Anyway, if you got the money and don't want to commit to agar and a pressure canner just yet the kits are fine, a bit of a gamble as you know, but this is your journey man and I'm just here in the background watching is all.

I'm all set up. I absolutely scrubbed my bathroom to bits. With standard horrible Proctor and Gamble poison, sorry products. Before breaking out the 70% ISO, with the bathroom door shut i took time to unbox, in a haze of isopropyl alcohol. Wiping as i went, mixed in the lasagne method, roughly and a layer of CVG, to cover it. Picked a nice dark spot for it and I'll have a squizz in 10 days. That's the monotub Plan B.the McKennaii all in one, was supposed to be the easy one, having successfully done it twice before. To my shame, I've been becoming more brainwashed by bloody Google AI, an I just complied with her even though I knew she was wrong.
Hopefully it's a minor. It meant I adta open it twice. I already know it's not infallible to say the least, outright sinister if I'm honest
It made me smile tho, cos at the very beginning I asked about asking AI for help, absolutely everyone said, "Noooo!, don't do it, AI is shit!".

In my defence, I try to break "the Man's" programming, but in my world it's virtually impossible to live without at least some screen time.
My mate suggested it to me for a specific task. Pointing my house exterior, it was brilliant, which led to the skimming of the inside wall too. Then I got info on my old man's Tag watch he got from 40 years service at work. It broke but cost 4k new. God knows now. Just today she told me exactly how to sync my mum's phone to her new car, so she has all the stuff on it, which she certainly wunt have managed, i doubt i would.
Point is, Google AI, is bad news, and I think it's making me use my own, pretty good brain less effective, an I imagine easily following the heard to our doom! Which is what seems to be the crac with all this AI malarkey.
I might be too far down the rabbit hole, an I am stoned an tired. But it's bad news, but when you need to know how to replace a rear break light on a 2012 Ford Tranny, or where's the SD card slot on a Ford fiesta Eco Drive, cos your mum's fancy new car's doing her head in. What ya gonna do?
I'm pretty sure it's making me dumber tho.

I've been patiently waiting since the 6th to peek inside my monotub. An to my delight, this is what I found.
Am I ready to begin daily FAE? My McKennaii grow kit is already on its second flush.

Yes, most of us do FAE right from spawning, I do restrict it a little the first two weeks so I don't lose to much water, but still giving it enough FAE to breath properly.

Saw my first pins on my B+ Monotub. I am so blasted happy. I really dedicated myself to this monotub. As fun as the bags were, they're a dead end, an not financially sustainable. Where as this monotub, if it's able to cover the entire thing in pins, gives me options. An hopefully plenty of mushrooms.
To be honest I'm still amazed I've managed to pull it off. It's a very rewarding hobby. I feel if you come correct with these fun guys, they'll do you right in turn.
We might be building a symbiotic relationship, having! Just like they do in the wild.

Not in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would be this good. The separate McKennaii bag is a bit of a let down, with 2 really small flushes, due to it only side pinning. But my B+ Monotub is the star of the show. It's awesome to watch.

It's been a good flush and I made some wicked cool edibles from my harvest. They're great.
Unfortunately my McKennaii kit was struck by my first dose of contamination. By all accounts, it's standard procedure, and you ain't a proper mycologist till you've had a dose of Trichoderma. Still cudda bloody cried tho.
