I wouldn’t blink twice at putting that in the dehydrator. Water logged doesn’t mean rotten. I think they’re fine.

Perfect. I was mostly worried about some kind of wet rot. I already sent the whole batch in for a dry, I wasn’t about to toss them on a hunch. Appreciate it!

Honestly mushrooms can be soggy af. I’ve grown some tubs I misted a little too much and the bases of the fruits were soggy. If it did bother you, you can always trim it off but I don’t see a reason to.

When your mushrooms start to rot I’m confident you’ll know what you’re looking at.

i think it should be sent in an envelop on a piece of paper instead of a foil

The trusted vendors can be trusted to use appropriate packaging. Avoid ordering anything illegal to have in your country and you shouldnt have any issues c:

How is this looking? I broke it 48 hours ago from a high %, it looks like this all around and I smelled mushrooms when I shook it. I'm hoping I can shoebox it in a few days? It's still making progress on the stray grains.

Looks good from here, would leave them for however long it takes to fully colonize and even then give them a couple of days

Started a azurescense 5 gallon bucket with about 6 inches uncolonized birch curls n 3 mico quarts of mixed grain and woodchips colonized (probably overkill though expect some quick growth xD) was wondering would it colonize better indoor at 55/65 or outside at 45/55

Hi, quick question about Pressure cooker. First time using my brand new presto 23qt. Put 3 lt of water below the raised rack and jars on top. Set the fire to high and steam starts to come out but only in bursts. I want it to be a continous flow before starting the 15min timer. But in never flows steady steam. If I put the rocker on the vent, the pressure comes up as it should.
How long should I wait? It has been more than half an hour blowing inconsistent steam. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks a lot!

Don't know what you ended up with doing, but if you haven't started the run yet I would turn off the heat, let the pressure drop and check the water level.

I start the venting when the lock plug pops up, sometimes there is water around, and/or on top of the plug and then it won't pop up. The solution is to safely get rid of the water.

When it pops up set a timer for 10 minutes and after the 10 minutes put the weight on.

I have an Instant Pot. It has a sterilize program but all the IP TEK I read only recommend using the pressure cook program for a bit longer than a real pressure cooler. Why is the sterilize program not recommended???

What psi does it go to?

Usually the IP don't get up to 15psi which is needed to get the temperature to 121°C, with lower temperature you would need to run it longer.

Thanks, at the end, after waiting a long time, I just put the rocker on and started. I tried before this morning and after waiting a long time (long after the plug was up) I put it away from the fire for cooling and checked water level. It was alright. Everything seems all right is just that the steam always comes in bursts. I went with the whole sterilization, I hope the grain bags are properly done..

This was all I could find on it.

"Did you know your Instant Pot can do more than just whip up a weeknight chili? Tucked away on its control panel is a powerful, often overlooked feature: the instant pot sterilize setting. This isn't just a fancy "steam" cycle; it's a dedicated function that uses precise, pressurized heat to eliminate 99.9% of common germs, bacteria, and mold spores, making it a game-changer for more than just cooking."

There was one post on Reddit that said it got to 15 PSI on the high setting???

Quick question I'm hoping for super indepth as complicated as possible answer for. Let's say I have a lc colonized in a 4 oz container what would be the proper way to get it into a syringe without contaminating the lc? (Preferably a method that would allow me to reuse the syringe)

Instant pot max gets to ~15psi (it gets to 115C+ at least). It'll have a canning button on it if its the higher pressure one
