Oh, shit. I just saw his jars were only 350ml. Good call on the smaller tub.

That’s a good find, DV8. I need to get a few of those.

Check the vendors the list here  and see if any ship too australia.  If they do.  There's a few out there that are selling straight up lc syringes.

Otherwise youd have to get ahold  of a print swab or wedge and make it yourself

Bit skeptical posting but I will. I can only receive some more valuable info

Thank you for these good recommendations guys.

Here's two photos. 3 x jars and 1 close up of one as i feel the darker popcorn MAY look like contams.
Im more worried about the lack of rhizomorphic growth than anything tbh.

I highly doubt you will find liquid culture for anything with physcoactive properties. Maybe on here, id be interested if you find somebody.

As for edibles like king oysters, lions Maine etc they are quite accessible online. Do a Google search and there's quite a few retailers.

How long since you shook them? What kind of filter are you using and is it cubes?

It's not polite to jack someone's thread. That being said...

You aren't going to enjoy LC if you don't have a firm grasp of agar. If only for testing said LC. It's up there on the advanced side of the hobby. I recommend baby steps and BRF cakes to understand how this process goes and how mycelium behaves. Just in time for Cake Wars 2025!!

Ok so this is another interesting and different step.
Inoculated 3 weeks ago, 1 week in around 30% colonized I did a shake and break.

It quickly got up to 60-70% in a few days and stopped growing.
I decided to do a second shake and break another week later.
These are photos of it on the third week after second shake.
Yes cubes

After seeing my mistake and drilling holes in my jar lid, my jars stopped colonizing and are turning less white. I'm assuming bacteria because I have no real vent and just a hole?

Help us out.  Are you referring to some earlier post of yours, about your "mistake"?

What sort of jars are these?  What's in them?

On the surface of it, it does sound like they may be toast, I'm afraid.

So the pictures are just a couple of days after a shake? If that is the case they seems to be recovering. Also what kind of filter are you using on the lids for GE?

 yeah, and it's great for some applications, but for others it's a pita  It's a pretty cool classic looking cube, but that is hard to show anybody because they're mostly black by the time the caps open up enough to get a good picture :cryariver:

Thanks to all the great help. I’ve been just letting some tubs run some silly number of flushes. It’s staying clean and still producing less, but bigger fruits.

Does anyone have any tips for how to get a solid canopy on 2nd+ flushes?

Maybe a new casing layer.of fresh coir. OR…
I was thinking:
Run  a few tubs (call it 4) with no liner, after the first flush dunk/soak the cakes, take one tub and crumble it up and use it to recase (the other 3) to fill in the gaps around the edge of the tub.

I was thinking this would help consolidate tubs over time allowing to start a new one, and that recaseing the cake might help produce a fuller pinset. Prevent side pins.

Idk just an out of the box thought.
. I also recently saw someone repasturize a spent oyster block and grow a different type of oyster on it with pretty nice looking results. Just trying to maximize efficiency

You really went and drilled holes in partially colonised spawn jars?

Youre asking for too much. Make more spawn instead of expecting 1st flush yield on flush 3+

Hi all - first-timer, my PF-Tek grow is going smoothly enough. I have a non-emergency question.
I inoculated 6 jars about 5 weeks ago. I have 2 jars approaching full colonization, 2 jars that I completely bungled with too much water (but they have what I believe to be mycelium growing inside, so fingers crossed?), and I have 2 very-late bloomers. The one jar just germinated nearly 4 weeks after being inoculated.

As a completely inexperienced newb, my guess would be that a jar would be beyond hope if it germinates that late - wouldn't a lot of necessary moisture evaporate by the time it would have otherwise fully colonized? But I'm here to ask if there's something I could/should do to save the jar, like somehow injecting moisture? Or should I just shut up and be patient?
