Yes, the longer the stones grow the more potent they become
I decided not even to harvest them out of this bag, and just use the whole thing in my substrate

Everytime we go on holiday in the Netherlands we visit some smartshops and trip on truffles at least one time.
Kind of tradition.

I am used to tripping on stones but i am curious what a trip on fruits of stoneproducing species is like.
So fruits are my main goal.

The mushrooms are a lot more potent than the stones. Are they also give me more of a euphoria during your trip.

Lets say a guy had a nice Tamp pinset and they aborted, probably due to misting. Whats the move? Wait for it to try again or punish the surface some?

Tamps love water ๐Ÿ’ฆ iโ€™m sure thatโ€™s not what made them. Abort might just be the opposite being too dry.

When I have mine in my Martha, I have the humidifier come on every 15 minutes for 15 minutes on high. They really love to be 80ยฐ and wet but not soggy drainage is very important so no standing water appears

I normally poke holes in the bottom of my aluminum pans so any excess water will just drip out

:whathesaid: I have my tamp.subs and casing soaked and still mist , remember these are a species that are genetically designed to hate dry conditions, the whole reason they make stones in the first place

True, they can abort from being in standing water for too long WITHOUT drainage or evaporation (remember how much
Tamps love fresh air and high humidity) which was super easy in summer for me with high temperatures. Keep up that FAE!

Aborts thankfully are not too common for the most part, at least IME.
Also Tamps in my experience again, can handle some short periods of slight dryness (think of the bog-swamps with high and low tide).

What they all say, but wanted to add that my tamps did NOT like being punished. Could have been a one off, but they did not recover at all.

Pretty dumb question, but...
I grew 'galindoi' in the past. As I understood later, galindoi isn't recognized as a species anymore and was lumped with mexicana.
The source of my culture was a stone from a Dutch smartshop. Sooo... Did I actually grow tampanensis? The stones were ridiculously large for mexicana anyway...

Ok, thanks guys! I knew they liked them wet, but I assumed they needed to grow out some first like with semps and such. Ya know what they say about assuming!

On an unrelated note, my buddy and I dropped some acid, which my gf doesn't like, so she took 2g of the tamps instead and she said it was they were potent af and gave her the strongest visuals she's ever had! So yeah...these may become a mainstay for me!๐Ÿค™

2nd flush coming in with my ATL7s. Tore on the right was the first one harvested. The left one is a day and half behind but pins are popping up. After harvesting the first flush, I misted the surface heavily on both tires and put them back in my JCM tub. Saw a lot of stones growing through the sides and bottoms and surface is pretty lumpy in places. These shieboxes are almost 2 months old now. Hoping for nice stones!

Wife and I lemon tekked 1.5g each last night. Great trip. Really smooth. Should have went 2g each as Tree Frog suggested. Weโ€™ll definitely up the dose next time.

Hoping there's someone with experience with Mex A-Strain that can evaluate this plate. Been battling a contamination so went back to agar. This is the 3rd transfer. Extremely aggressive but wispy. Then before reaching the edge of the plate, it starts to thicken. Almost looks like its getting slightly aerial.  It's on 2% LME.

Are those specks of LME in the agar or contamination?

That's just sediment, I don't make very clear plates:grin:
Growth is pretty uniform, might just put it to a test jar and see if it has improved. Definitely not used to stone producing myc.

Try swabbing the gills and see if there's anything in there at all?
