because we don't recommend trich-fortified coir for mushroom cultivation.  sure you can make it work but why make things harder than they need to be.  retile coir doesn't even need to be pasteurized, and it's of much better quality than the trich infused gardening coir.

so I've poured a ton of clean plates and perpetuated a bunch of genetics I had on hand but now I'm turning my attention to a couple of clean-up projects, mainly an MSS of KSSS that actually grew out clean, and an APE syringe (MSS?  who knows) that grew out like the syringe was 90% aids. 

am I ok just squirting a single drop from each syringe into the dish, or should I use some medium like a small piece of clean cotton, apply the solution to that and then place thatin the plate?  I feel like i'm sweating .05ml of liquid too much but asking a question doesn't cost me much.  thanks in advance.

I got a trash LC syringe from a friend. I had to expand it to a broth I made to even get it to take on a plate. I ran a tub of it and it was all small sad fruit. Question is, is it worth taking a clone and trying to get it better, or just call it quits with this culture?

Is this your first flush? Pe sometimes throws out a crappy first flush and or even sometimes blobs. You might luck out and get a much better second flush if so...

Hey peeps,
I have this orange stuff showing up in some of my tubs, has no smell, and doesn't transfer to a qtip/swab. It's not a liquid. Should I be worried about it? I already tossed the worse tub since it was done anyway, but the other one is yet to produce and I was hoping to get something from it. They got pretty dry for a day or so, could that be it?




Also, I'm new here... is it customary to respond to the most recent post to add a new topic? Or should I reply to the first one?

Usually we reply to the last guy if asking a question, and leave the title as is.

If you're just wanting to post something new not in response to somebody scroll to the bottom of the page type what you wantm the message box and click post. If you are wanting to respond or answer somebody specific or their specific question you would then click reply on that specific post and then scroll down to the bottom and type your message. This will let people know you are referring to them specifically.


If you're wanting to show the specific persons post your replying to so everybody knows exactly what and who you're talking to press quote and then scroll down and type your message. 

That will copy exactly what they posted including pictures. As well as allow you to respond

I didn’t canal it. It’s the first one I’ve thought looked pretty decent. Looking forward to sending it!

Just did my first transfer a few days ago too. Starting to see some growth, fingers crossed it goes good.
