Shoebox next to it for comparison. Has latches. I figured with the depth of it not enough air would reach down from just the cracks at the top? Idk flipping the lid might be enough. But they’re in a pretty stagnant room I found unmodified shoeboxes not having enough fae in the environment.

I seen this bad boy and wanted to try something different. It was $6 tho compared to the $1 shoebox next to it 😂

I did 3 quarts of spawn to a brick of coir. I think I might’ve been able to do 4 quarts and maybe even more coir. But 3 quarts seems like plenty for not even 3x a shoebox. I did try 2 quarts out in that shoebox too. I’m gonna see if beefier cakes is something I need in my environment 🤷🏻‍♂️ even tho I’ll have a new environment to fuck with very soon

Looks about the same as mine. I do unmodded, lid upside down. Air gets down into it. I assume it gets a little infusion when I open it to mist, if needed. Here's another one, the x7x+ line around F2 that was huge by comparison, but not strong so I didn't pursue it. I use 2 myco quarts in each of these. Mine do not have latches, but the lid can snap on if you want, not that you'd want for growing shrooms.

Otherwise, I'll just twist and pull. It's really easy to get the sub off once they're dehydrated.
Just because it takes work & time. I do wanna get the most I can from my harvest. Savor as much as I can.

Ive had them peel off easily without scuffing on both plastic and metal, it's an easy step, just hit it with some sand paper quick

This was one snip with the sowing scissors.  They're sharp and angled.  I snipped a couple other spots that were done and am letting the rest mature.



This one had fungus gnats so I cut the whole thing down with a sharp 8-in chef knife.  It took more than one cut because it was a big glass baking dish.  But a small tray like the one above could be harvested probably in one continuous cut if it was a canopy.
