Confession: I thought my gf gave me a disease or some shit.

She got out of the shower the other night, then got a wee bit frisky and before we really got down to business, I had to stop and ask if she used bengay or some such shit. She had not...so then I began to worry.

Turns out though, she had some type of hemp lotion on and it got on my...sensitive skin and gave me a weird, warming sensation.

So yeah, that was kind of a weird deal. Glad it wasn't some flesh eating bacteria anyway...

Bay leaf, pepper, garlic, and red wine.  I prefer it fresh and not smoked, so I omit the instacure and powdered milk.


I missed this because I had to go to that thing called work. I need a good venison sausage recipe. Have to wait to get a deer this coming season. 🤞🏻  Fresh out of venison because I didn’t score one last year. No venison steaks or jerky right now either.

Roadkill baby.  I put seven deer in the freezer this year and never fired a shot :lol:

First year in a long time I didn't get one, but I'm full up anyhow.  Just get up before dawn whenever rut happens in your area, make a cup of coffee, and start driving the roads where there's deer.  Big dummies are rutting so hard they get hit all the time.

I almost smoked one in my semi-truck today. It was b-lining across a field full speed towards the road. Blasted my air horn a few times and turned him away from being road hamburger.

I'm glad it moved, I didn't want the PITA of having to meet with safety and spit on a qtip.

As long as you can cut away all the bruised meat and the internals didn’t burst and spoil the meat, I’d say it’s a go! Never picked up roadkill, but know others that do. In my line of work, I come across a lot, but it is all really fucked up.

the amish seem like hardworking people and talented craftsmen.  I know that they hold some beliefs within their community that I wouldn't get down with, but thats why they're amish and I'm not. 

if you're fortunate enough to live near amish woodworkers, need furniture and have the money to pay buy-it-for-life prices, you can't go wrong with amish woodworking.

I think I'm going to try to switch over from Cubes to Exotics as I literally have pounds of dry cubes stored. I'll probably keep working on my Wild Tico project but other than that, I think I'm going to stick with gourmet and exotics for a season.
