A few more pictures, the dripping is continuing almost like the fruits are sweating despite increasing FAE. I caught a drip as it fell and it has a faint acrid smell, almost like a very faint ammonia. Also, there is slimy bruising around the base of a few of these. Should I pick and toss these to be safe, or is this normal?


I'm 99% sure this was all caused due to misting too much yesterday. If it's not normal and will not self-resolve, is this a situation I can fix?

Glad to hear it's taking off! :dancer:  But yeah, now I err on the side of caution with that stuff. Looking at you, PE7 culture that hates me.

Plus I've fallen in love with the quick and dirty plate-scrape LI style. Stuff really jams on BRF cakes.

You know that your plate is clean, you don't know what might be lurking in the rest of that syringe. I'd go with making a new lc from the plate. You can also Josex it into the broth if you don't want to open the jar.

Time to ask my very first stupid question after a probably much too short google search. I'm sorry.

I was recommended UB and bought into it blindly then did research, I have an instant pot so I see there is actual good shit I could have been doing instead.

I have some agar plates and don't want to waste the cash on the ub in theory I could go to agar first to isolate any bad shit then corner cut a bag and throw it in for better results.

is that going to work out any better or do I just accept that I burnt some cash.

At least UB is still food so you didn't waste your money, you can just eat it.

I haven't tried it, but as far as I know the issue with it is not just the inoculate you use, the rice in a bag itself is more prone to contamination.

Since you have an instant pot you'd be better off making your own grain jars and following proper teks. Trying to improve a tek that sucks isn't as likely to succeed.

I’m looking for a good recommendation of juicer so I could make my own orange juice in the morning. I’m thinking of the one that just has the spinning cone. But if it is a full-blown juicer and I can shove stocks of celery straight into it, I wouldn’t be opposed to that either.

Does anyone have a good juicer they could recommend?

Good enough for me my musical friend!

Heavily swollen stipes
Deformed caps
Wart-like growths
Cap spotting

Symptom missing so far..

Amber-coloured droplets on bubbles, resulting in rotten tissue

I'd say it could also be dry bubble but the warts are what keeps me from committing lol. Vert usually doesn't lead to reorganization.

Just tossed a tub of APE with it :oldman: and the grain seemed immaculate...
Never saw it allowing to pin... "Amber-coloured droplets on bubbles" is the only symptom I've witness in tubs...

So I have this expensive ass monotub I bought before I read the posts here. The lid is tight as fuck.


It has HEPA filters which sounds like a good idea at first, but seem really unnecessary now and may be reducing FAE.

I think my surface might be a little too wet now. The past couple days when I come home from work I have 2-4 little pools of water I blot up with a paper towel.
To increase FAE, I'm thinking I should just crack the lid for at least a day and see how it looks.

What are your thoughts? Sorry it's not the best picture, my phone's camera sucks. I can take more.
