You're gonna get some no matter what... whether it's a the bottom from cutting or towards the top where you grab it to pull/twist off the sub.

Got a link?
There’s so much rubbish out there nowadays.
It’s nice getting a good recommendation.

Might just be a color reaction from eating the dye.  What's it look like from the back?

I'm honestly curious about it.  I might send it to a single jar just to see what happens.

Once you get your base skills down you get to fuck around with funky stuff and understand what's happening.  It's a lot of fun.

The color is 100% just eating the dye. I figured the most likely issue is some kind of gray mold Ive seen quite a bit of. I dont think it's cobweb, but its something fucky. I'll probably drop it to a pint - shits and giggles and learning experience...

I have a real nice cluster on a pf cake and pulled two caps to print. Would there be any benefit to mixing the two prints together or would subsequent grows be more inclined to exhibit the clustering if I stuck with treating the prints individually?

As any domesticated cubensis has undoubtedly already been printed countless times...probably that very same way.

If you're looking for clusters, cloning those will be the better choice.

Did my first A2G today(oyster). After boiling my oats for about 30 minutes, I let them steam of for about 30 minutes in a colander, then spread them out and put a fan on them. After about 3 hours they felt real dry and not sticking to anything.

Loaded my jars and PC'd for 2 hours, after venting for 15 minutes and reaching 16 PSI. Looked good when I took them out. Let them cool over night. But now, with the agar inside, I think there is to much moisture inside the jars...

Question is, can I dry my oats over night with a fan without them losing to much moisture?

This is P. Natalensis Strain I transfer Agar to Grain and i see a fast Growth is this Natalensis specific?

Why are there a dozen wedges in each jar?  Just carefully transfer one very clean wedge in and leave it at that.  You're inviting contamination with so much activity over an open jar.

I'm going to do this in all caps so it is very clear:

SHROOMS DO NOT DEFEAT CONTAMINATION OF ANY KIND.

Once your plate, spawn, or spawned sub is contaminated it is contaminated.  It's done, yeet it into the sun.  The only contaminated grain I spawn is bacterial, and then I top fruit.

Shrooms do not defeat mold.

Shrooms do not defeat bacteria.

CLEAN SPAWN ONLY.

Listen to this right here. The second half is obviously true too, but I think the first half gets kind of glossed over bc the learning material often shows the more experienced cultivators slicing a whole plate and transferring. Ive been chasing a minor bacterial issue in all of my jars for...idk...months. I did everything I could think of, including inspecting my PC for some random shit that could have probably never been the problem anyway. Im confident that this is where I was fuckin up - too much time with an open jar, too much time trying to transfer 12 wedges while being under pressure to hurry...all of that. Take it slow with the wedges and save yourself the headache, amigo. More inoculation points are meaningless if the jar shits the bed in the end.

Hey,

I do another Agar transfer after a failure with too many wedges this time i transfer only 1 Agar wedge is that OK?

Bruising is an unavoidable reaction, it is what it is. Whatever amount of actives is lost is miniscule compared to what remains. I'm yet to grow weak mushrooms and I'm not paying any attention to how much I bruise them.

What's the point in worrying about losing a tiny bit of potency when you can get a lot of fruits even from one good shoebox. You can always take a little bit more if you don't think your dose gave you the expected effects. I'd be much more concerned about drying them well for long term storage, because messing that up will have the biggest adverse effect on their potency.

Heya!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
I was wondering if there is a way to silence a sterilizer?
Every time I put it on its quieter than the PC but when it vents the baby next door cries and I don't want to stir too much trouble in my neighbor hood.

I would put the MP tape on asap.

I did. It is a 20 quart mini monotub with six 30mm holes, and the lid is pretty loose. Is one layer on MP enough or should I put 2 and then take off a layer once it's fully colonized/pinning?

Never touch your mushrooms, eat them directly from the cake or monotubs as though you're grazing on grass like a cow.

This and many more amazing useless facts supplied daily by yours truly.

I have 13 grams of magnets on the pressure regulator(rocker) that way my presto sits at 16-17 PSI and there is only a tiny hizz.

My bad, sterilizer is what you where asking about :facepalm3:

Does anybody fruit directly inside bags like this?

I haven't seen anybody doing this on here. When I search I just find people doing all in one bags. I like to experiment and try different methods so I ended up buying some .2 micron bags for grain spawn, and 5 micron bags for fruiting in. That's the correct size filter bags right? I am trying to do a set and forget with the bags.
And how is it like for people who grew in bags before?
