I believe it was Bill Burr who said it best.

Imagine how stupid the average person is.... and realize there's another 50% of the population even dumber than that.

Sorry, sorry. I forget that there's people on the shroomery who make a lot of money and would love to see Trump in power so that they won't have to see a hike in taxes because they bring in more than 400k/year annually.

Lots of really business savvy people, who just happen to lack any amount of empathy so that they can make an extra dollar.

With how some people defend Trump, I can only assume that it's for a monetary reason.

He's certainly not respectable for any other reason, he did cut taxes for the wealthy over and over and then screwed over the middle and lower class by increasing taxes on them starting from 2021 to 2027.

It's certainly not for his morals, Trump has none.

I'm actually not certain why some people defend Trump, frankly, especially if they are poor. Well, I know the reason, the answer is racism and misogyny.

I'm actually not certain why some people defend Trump, frankly, especially if they are poor. Well, I know the reason, the answer is racism and misogyny.


Republicans have always garnered support from the poorest people in America by pushing socially divisive issues. I got lost the other day in a little town in West Virginia, and the neighborhood where people living in shacks were the ones with the most trump flags. I barely saw Trump shit anywhere else but this one area.

Speaking of trump flags, I’m not seeing anything like it was four and eight years ago.

They are mostly unconvincible with logic or facts. These are the people who are moved by emotion and fear. These are the people who find “they are eating our dogs” a pervasive statement, even if it is a completely baseless claim.

You know that woman is a native born American citizen, right?

She has nothing to do with the Haitian community and she ate the cat in Canton, Ohio, which is no where near Springfield. It’s not surprising that you are pushing that lie. It’s all Trump supporters know.

PBS interviewed the city manager of Springfield and he said they invited the Haitian immigrants to come to his town because the businesses and factories in the city needed workers, and they couldn’t get the American residents in the town to work there, many of them are addicts and don’t work or can’t pass a drug test.

Maybe we be able to pass drug test if the current democratic leaders made drug testing employees useless.  Or relax all drug regulations.  Rip the bandaid off. Fentanyl wouldn't be a problem if it was over the counter.  The effective dose to ld50 is much higher then ibrofen.

When have republicans ever willingly relaxed drug laws?

Liberal as fuck DC legalized pot almost a decade ago, but republicans in congress have successfully blocked full implementation of the ballot initiative the whole time. However, pre employment drug testing for cannabis is now illegal for private employers and local government. DC can’t legislate policy for the federal government. Some agencies do pre employment testing, some have no preemployment testing or random testing whatsoever. Your average federal employee has never had to deal with a random test. Even agencies that do have random drug tests do it so rarely that you may never get selected.

Executive orders of a lame duck president would shift policy on drugs. Especially if it's put as an economical aid.

The federal government no longer prosecutes marijuana possession offenses and biden pardoned all federal convictions.

Actually decriminalizing marijuana would require an act of congress
