Doing Bakedbeings Bottle Tek which says if using LC or LI to wait until 5% colonized to shake.  Is this 5%?


Edit: Answering my own question because I'm a big boy who can think for himself.


100%                      50%

25%                        5% segments

So this is about 1% colonized

Take them out of the PC


Covid can survive on surfaces for a short time but surfaces are not considered a significant mode of transmission.  Also you'll have decent immunity against the substrain of Covid you're fighting for a few months.  Also the PC probably denatured the virus.  Also don't lick your agar, or aerosolize it and huff it.  If you think your shrooms caught Covid, and they are coughing and sneezing and running a fever, you may have taken too many shrooms.

If you didnโ€™t make it yourself with a high level of confidence, ALWAYS test on agar first to see if it is actually clean.

How did you inoculate your spawn? Like did you lift the lid of a jar, inject a bag?

Its likely the LC wasnโ€™t clean and needed to be run through an agar cycle.

Looking for comprehension to link a new cultivator to.......

I know it's that basic but I'm looking for a few more words and do's and don'ts, like don't spray lysol everywhere, and don't keep a torch inside the box.... That kind of thing.

I actually have one in my manual. Itโ€™s really new user-friendly because you just buy the stuff you need for it. The only part you actually need to do yourself is the hole for the sterilizer.

I learned it from San Pedro girl. You have a little spot that you can cover or uncover. Then you can stick a needle straight through the hole into your sterilizer. Sterilize your stuff and then pull it back into the SAB.

You don't need to be doing that. Just heat the element and put it in your SAB.

IMO that is an unnecessary modification

A lot of heat comes off of it. So if it was inside of the SAB Iโ€™m afraid it might try and melt some thing.

I just let it float for a day and then press it down for a soak with my hand before dumping the water out. If I had a weight for tubs I would use that but I don't so thats how I do it

Thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m thinking of doing. All of the edges have pulled away from the tub. It used to fill out the bottom completely.
This thing needs a real good soak this time. Thank you.

If it's a tub let it float, if u want it submerged put sticks through your holes ...but honestly floating subs will sucks water up
