I've never had any unpleasantness on shrooms (8 or so experiences) but one acid trip was terrible at the time. In retrospect, however, I learned more on it than any other single experience. Since that happened, I'm a firm believer that no trip can ever be *bad* (well, getting your dick sawed off might be an exception here), because you can never walk away from one without gaining insight.

Word to the "bad" trip insight. Through suffering comes enlightenment.

ahh yes. very true.
This is what caused my day of enlightenment and self realization. terrible fear and loathing. i almost ran into the woods at one point to escape. My friends seemed to betray me in a way unexplainable. Then, in an instant, i was over it. I could function again. My head became totally clear.

I had a similar experience, Futants. Except there were no woods to run to, only the urban recesses of Chicago. My enlightenment began the moment I returned home and has continued gradually since. It was funny, the day after I got home from the hard weekend of the "bad" trip I picked up The Ancient Secret of The Flower of Life volume II and read it cover to cover, just out of curiosity... little did I know...

when it happened my friends had to stop me physicaly from from running. I had thought before this event that my "third eye" was active, but i was totaly wrong. The way i had thought and acted was just as ignorant as everyone else in the world.
Some people dont understand the concepts i talk about, *couchaloneinthefirecoughcough*
yeah...
Im going to go buy "nothing in this book is true, but its exactly how they are" or somthing like that tonight. it should be a good book...

iive never had a bad trip on acid out of about 6 experiences
never bad on LSA dispite nausea.
and in countless mushroom journeys ive havd one experience that was good and bad like a yoyo... a half ounce dried libs will do that to ya. gotta say tho, i dont regret it, and yet i do, for if it never happened, life would be easier now, more cheerful, and a hell of alot more ignorant. i learned alot more than what too much psilocybin feels like. i learned who and what and when and why and how it all means. I am the 5 Ws. :)

sure thing cult boy, its not that people dont uderstand the concepts you talk about...its that we think they are completely ridiculous....you were the one ignorant enough to say the Bible never discussed what was a sin or not w/o having any clue whether it did or not

Newt: I've eaten 4 1/2 black gel tabs and did our yardwork at the house, then ate with my parents around my peek ;-) Nothing to it... hehe

Yeah, but Hyrdo, I doubt that was your first time trippin... I've played a high school basketball game trippin on three hits (didn't mean to. they rescheduled a game for a sat. afternoon, called, and I had to go...twas already to late), talked to just about every relative I have while fryin... but it was after I'd already tripped many, many times. I agree that it's not too difficult to pull off, but only when you're semi-familiar with the experience... Can't imagine it was very pleasant talkin to your parents while peaking, though...
