how many bad trips you had

I seemed to go through a spell where they were happening often,due to my own slack assed over indulgence of our sacred shrooms.
Now I got it together and prefer tripping on my own,I was just wondering as to how many bad trips other shroomers experienced , out of 10 trips do you think you would have a bad 1?

Never had a bad trip yet. Its all about the mindset, and I love shrooms to much to think a single bad thought when they're in my hands waiting to be eaten.

I agree. I nearly had a bad trip, but I managed to control it (i did not say I had a pleasant trip though...).
But it depends of your personnality and of your personnal history. You never know what to expect when you shroom. Be at ease with yourself, that's the best way to avoid bad trips.

True, but its also about the dosage. One night I ate about a tablespoon of high quality liquid, and my trip partner ate about 1/2 to 2/3 of that much. Hard to say, as we kept going back for more. Too too much anyway.
After a few hours, we had almost totally lost touch with reality when he started freaking out, totally out of his skull. Flipping out even. Wanted to go spread the word about finding the universal truth. Started whimpering. Spiraled out of control. I had to console him, ended up locking him in the bathroom. His trip was bad, and his reaction to it kind of tainted mine. I would have had more fun (albeit, terrifying fun) if he had just kept on the carpet where he was in the first fucking place.

0 bad out of 100+ GREAT! . Thats with acid though. only had shrooms 3 times and the first trip wasn't very pleasent. Just confused with the thoughts that went through my head thats all. I wouldn't call it a bad trip just not a good one.

There is no bad trips. Every trip is a learning experience, whether it's scary or not. They are simply 'trips'. You shouldn't classify them as good or bad.

Bad trip or unpleasant trip. I think theres a big difference - when you've had a proper bad trip you never fortget it. I have tripped 11 times and had one bad trip, 2 vaguely unpleasant trips (but not for the entire trip). I now only do it once a month.

My first and so far only level 5 on shrooms was a horrible trip, mostly because of a terrible trip setting. Even this awful trip ended good, checking out the beautiful kaleidoscope of visuals under a clear starry sky after arriving home from "Death Drive" hehe.

All of my other acid/shrooms experiences have been positive for the most part.

I have been lucky and have never had a bad trip. Ive tripped 6 times and all have been absolutely amazing. The majority of my trips are quite humerous too. Its true though, if you have a good mindset going into the trip and your thinking positively then your going to have a great trip.

only bad trip ive had was when me and 3 buddies were chillin up in my boys room. they werent tripping and started to drink vodka. eventually they got so sloppy drunk a friend hit himself in the face with a glass of vodka, which started my other buddy getting pissed because his mom was downstairs and if she came up, we were fucked...he flips the lights on and starts freaking...i was like "i need to get the fuck out" so i went outside and talked to myself and got it cooled, they got it cleaned up and everything back to normal, then we started watching Waking Life, but that experience doesnt belong in this thread =). whoa, ramble.

I've done it 8 times, no bad trips yet. I think there's a extremely unlikely chance that it will ever happen because I only do it once every 1-2 months, and the conditions have to be perfect.

I had one bad trip once, and I would not classify it as a general trip, because if it was, I will never touch a mind altering substance again. It was *bad*, and would not go away. I was considering drinking myself in to a stupor so I could go to sleep, but luckily, I couldn't get up without feeling sick.

Ever since, every trip has been slightly uncomfortable, because I keep feeling the need to go to the washroom, and looking back on that moment...

Why don't you guys keep some vitamin B3 or some benzos handy to rescue yourself from a possible bad trip.  You could have a small amount already crushed up in a bag so if you begin experiencing a bad trip you could dump it under your tongue and get back to happy land.  :grin:

I have tripped on acid probably 75+ times, and on mushrooms 30+. I have never had a bad trip. Well, I have had some bad experiences while on LSD, but I overcame them and learned from them. Never what you would call a "bad trip"
All my trips are good trips. It's all in the mindset..as someone said earlier.

I must have tripped on shrooms about 35 times, 2 bad and a few unpleasant times.

One time I ended up in tears in my wife’s arm…….asshole….. when I think back and know what I know now it wont happen again,that was at the end of a bad trip , a good trip that went the bad route.

Another time I stood looking at the light switch not know ing whether to turn it off, I could not make my mind up over anything, that’s what I call an unpleasant 1.

Exact same mushrooms, grown at the exact same time, by the exact same method never give the exact same trip.

What??? The less you trip the more likely you'll have a bad trip since you don't know the chemical as well and you aren't used to the effects. Bad trips come out of nowhere from what I've heard. Not under the perfect conditions
