I was just pointing out. The Republicans despise Hillary Clinton.
Democrats also really hate her.
She’s kind of just a despicable person.
I’m not sure why she was a democratic candidate.
Because by that point, there already was South Park episodes about how much everyone hates her.

Would’ve been better than Trump, regardless.
She actually had experience running the country to an extent. Having been married to bill.

Yeah, being part of a political legacy family does guarantee you enough money to run.
Doesn’t mean that anyone wants that person to run.

She would not have been better than Trump. You are still naive and don't fully understand geopolitics. No offense. Let me help you understand.

I understand well what would have happened if Hillary had become president. I was involved with these things at the time. The US would have gone to war with Syria and Russia directly. The CIA was still trying to get rid of Assad at the time, and that evil cunt Hillary was licking her lips at the prospect of ordering a bombing campaign against the Syrian army. She said it herself. A lot of people would have died and Syria would have become an ISIS caliphate.

Syria being utterly annihilated, turned over to terrorists and military clashes between Russia and the US taking place over the skies of Syria would not have been worth whatever "experience" she brought to the table.

Trump becoming president saved *a lot* of people's lives from the bloodbath Hillary wanted.

See, this is what pisses me off about the attitude of a lot of people. They think their fucking petty domestic politics and viewpoints are more important than the lives of the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people that die *every time* a Neocon puppet president takes power, and who immediately puts Empire first, which means more war, over someone who is willing to be reasonable and reign it in.

Take Biden for example. Him being elected came with a price tag of HALF A MILLION Ukrainians dead in a war that would almost certainly have not taken place had Trump been re-elected. Was it worth it? A lot of people will smugly say yes. Because they have never experienced true suffering in their lives and they don't care if millions of people die somewhere far away. Their personal politics are more important. It's pathetic.

Half a million people fucking dead because of this pathetic orange man bad shit. Because they didn't like some mean tweets. It's unbelievable how petty and stupid so many people are. There is *no issue* that is *more important* than our foreign policy, period. Nothing else matters. I don't care about fucking LGBTQ shit or fucking abortion. All that shit is worthless compared to foreign policy. Because this is what decides how many people live, how many die and whether or not humanity is going to have a peaceful future in harmony with one another or a future where the planet is potentially nuked because America couldn't put its fucking dick away.

They don't understand the true nature of the situation the planet is facing, they don't understand the reality of the power struggle unfolding in their own country and they don't care about anything other than satisfying their own ego, which has been warped and twisted with propaganda in any case.

It's a really dark, fucked up situation that our country and the planet is facing. And most people are just oblivious, clueless morons. The US is no longer a redeemable country. Only until it has gone through its empire collapse phase and been reborn as something new will it be possible to fix it.

The Ecstatic said:
There’s an argument to be made that the ruling class wanted Trump to come in, cut taxes, deregulate, and then take all the blame and make Democrats look amazing by comparison in the wake of a (by all accounts) disappointing 8 years of Obama.

And now the right wing Court can just say “nah that’s actually unconstitutional” for the next 40 years.

Other than meeting with Kim Jong Un or shit talking NATO, did trump do anything that the ruling class disapproved of?

Trump saying we stayed in Syria for the oil was something I think most of the ruling class disapproved of lol.

I have to agree with Chop. The number one thing I was worried about with Clinton was a direct war with Russia, and I still believe that would have occurred.

I don't know how Trump would have handled Ukraine, but if he would have stayed out of that war, hundreds of thousands of lives could have been spared.

Re: TRUMP 2020 [Re: chopstick]
    #28538353 -

It’s theoretical.
But from what I was hearing her talk about.
She was basically going to do some of what Obama did. Do a lot of those drone strikes.
I was actually really pissed off that she wanted to turn off all electricity every Sunday.
Who the hell does that?
Just make it so that the giant businesses use less power so we don’t all have to do that.
I didn’t like her at all.
But at least she wouldn’t have caused a literal meltdown of the democracy she was supposed to be running.

But I don’t disagree that it is possible we could be in a much worse place because of the Geo political landscape that she would have been put into.

Also, I don’t like the idea. But other countries might’ve perceived us, as being weak from having a female leader, and tried to attack more aggressively.

I don’t think having a female leader would’ve made us weak. But the perception is still some thing that needs to be fought. I think the main reason she didn’t get elected was because the country was not ready to elect a female leader. America chose somebody with zero experience in leading a nation, or even being involved in politics. Over a woman.🤦🏻‍♂️
Very disappointing moment for my country.

If we had literally picked any other female politician in the country. They would’ve had a better chance than the most hated political female in the country. At the time, at least.

I hope that America being attacked isn't a serious concern of yours, because with or without a female leader, it's not going to happen. Not a formidable military attack on American soil. A terrorist attack, maybe, but you have nothing to fear, honestly. You're more likely to be struck by lightning.

I said the political class... You know, the people who rigged the Democratic primary in her favor..

Yes, it makes sense.

They don't get to choose the president, only the nominee.

Imagine that. The Democratic Party gets to choose their nominee. Crazy times we live in

Koods, how do you feel about ranked choice voting?
Because I would love to get to actually choose my Democratic nominee.

I don’t like that.

That depends what you mean by "Democratic Party". Democratic party officials choose the nominee, party members do not. Most people in America have been under the impression that voters chose the nominee... That's why people show up to vote in primaries.

You would think the "Democratic Party" would embrace Democracy, but they don't give a fuck about Democracy, or the will of the people.

Why would ranked choice voting matter? It's pointless to vote in a Democratic primary. Party leadership chooses the nominee, not voters. They just hold a primary election to put on a show and give you the illusion that your vote matters. It doesn't.

You have no idea if that is true. What we do know is true is what Trump did. Trump sent ground troops to Syria. Trump ramped up the bombing campaign in Syria.

This is what the US military under Trump did in Syria

The democrats never hid the fact that the popular vote was only part of the way they would choose their nominee. They also gave party insiders influence in selecting the nominee. Again, the Democratic Party can choose whoever they want using whatever method they want.
