Yeah that could be it I guess? Looks kinda too green for that but it could be the black agar that's reflecting light in a weird way or something? Again, apart from the color this is what I'd expect clone growth to look like so it'll probably grow out fine :shrug:

As an experiment anything goes. Watch it and see if it develops bacteria, because it probably will.

In the future, pull your stipe apart like string cheese and cut a little piece from the inside. That will get you a clean clone :smile:

Maybe it's because I'm dense or a fatty but I was always a little curious about the splitting of the stem but the string cheese reference clears it up.

Thank you guys! We will sit and watch it... if it does make it then great and if it doesn't oh well... the other 3 plates I have in the pics are some Nats that I really hope so well.

My cloning TEK (in my signature) also works well and is adapted to different kinds of fungi. Hope it helps.

do those glass petris have the top dish sit on top of the bottom dish like a normal plastic petri? The glass petris I'm using the top dish doesn't rest of the lip of the bottom dish, it just sits completely on top of it

How many condiments sized agar cups would you use to inoculate a quart of grains? I was thinking two for a quart and one for a pint pizza sliced and dropped in.
