I confess I gave thugnar a chance and replied to some of his messages on pm in a polite manner looking to help him.

He has now sent me an insulting message, what an utter waste of time and energy.

No it's Venlafaxine. But I also have to take Trazodone and my emergency meds are benzo's, but It's only for emergency I usually don't take it and especially not regularly.

True, on that bw86 ;-)

Funny you say that. I just checked his profile to see if he was still around like 5 min ago. Forgot I had him blocked.

Might unblock just to leave a neg rating and block again

I know I'm a day late, but I confess that I assumed the Ban Lottery Thread was someone ranting about how lotteries should be banned. (Like Powerball, etc.)

I also confess that I think the ignore function on this site doesn't work the way it should. If person A ignores person B, person B shouldn't be able to see replies or posts from person A, but apparently that's not the case.

I'm mostly interested in the black plate so I may just go for black food coloring

Make sure you use heat resistant food coloring or you'll have a surprise once you take it out of the PC. Americolor gel is great, avoid the red one (has natural fungicide in it)

shit i use cheap krogers food coloring and its never surprised me once, the blue is always still blue

It depends on the manufacturer. None of the reds I've used had red#3

I confess that I've never known why people add food coloring to their agar.
Seems like it would make things harder to see from the underside of the dish.
I recently went to a half-nute recipe for LMEA because I hate the tiny bit of sediment and occlusion in the regular recipe.

Only time I've used colorful agar was to distinguish it from normal plates when adding gentamicin years ago to make selective media (turns out this is a bad way to try to dodge bacteria).
I guess the orchid germination media I used was black from activated charcoal if that counts.

Colorful plates make brain go brrrr

If you used a couple different medias a very small amount might be helpful. Or to distingush different nute concentrations.

That being said i dont use em either

I use a drop of green food coloring because trich is a beneficial organism and I want the cultures I'm growing to get used to that part of the color spectrum. It really helps my tubs recover after I've scooped out the overly green bits and salted the divots.

Seriously, though, I just like it because it helps me see the contrast between colonized and uncolonized, and helps create a background against which I can observe growth. Sometimes I don't use it, but I generally prefer to. Maybe I'm still just fascinated by the way that colonizing myc makes the color vanish.

*siiiiiiigh* im sorry guys. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. It seemed like he was getting bullied and I was thinking we should try to sort it out.

doubt being "maybe hes just a euro and is having communication issues"

He just seems intent on inserting himself perpendicular to the slope of consensus.

I tried.  Do as thou will.
