ID - are these liberty caps?

My friend got me some mushrooms, he claims they're liberty caps. They do look like ones I've had before, but I thought I should double check. I started drying them immediately so these have been dried a bit.

Caps: brown when fresh, got lighter as they dried, nipple on top. They were kind of slimy before they dried.
Stems: thin but strong
Gills: brown
Environment: in grass, don't know where exactly, Scotland

Edit: I'm waiting for a spore print but so far it looks to be chocolatey brown

I do see some Psilocybe semileanceata in there, but not sure if all are, wait for some more opinions.

Thanks. There were a couple that obviously weren't liberty caps in with the pile. I thought I'd gotten rid of the ones that seemed not to fit but it's possible I missed some. I'm definitely not an expert :smile:

No, they don't look like libs to me. Maybe Inocybe, but I'm not sure. Could you show us the gills in good lighting, and the spore print? I don't suppose you took some shots of them in the field before you picked them?

I can't seem to get to the gills, since they're dried out so much. Here is a spore print photo so far (apologies, my lighting isn't great)

Can you let them spore print overnight? Looks pinkish so far so they might be Entoloma. The stems look too thick to be Psilocybe semilanceata and they normally dry to a straw yellow colour and normally don't split as much.

Sure, I'll do that. The gills looked a darkish brown colour when I first got them and the mushrooms were stored in a full backpack in a plastic bag so that may account for the splitting. :laugh:
