have some patience you waited less than an hour. I posted an entire grow log and have only gotten 3 or 4 replies in a week or so. Take it easy, doing a great job. My pins are never as slender at the top like that.... And the color is funny.... What strain?

and congrats, maybe some bigger pics and a descrip of ur setup?

sorry,i'm used to posting on OG and you get a response in like 5 secs.

they are AMZ and EQ. i mixed up the cakes when i was birthing(to excited)so i can't remember which is which.

what could the slender tops mean? i thought that the first flush had fatter pins?

The color does look odd. Pins look like little penises (including color) either those are aborts, which would explaun the shape, or something else is up.

the problem doesn't look like its the pics or camera.
i have never seen pins like those. they look like little cones. also they look grey. I dont know what would be causing this, but it looks like something isn't right.

in the last pic, the fuzzy stuff looks like cobweb mold. i could just be paranoid, however, because i never get fuzzy mycelium like that.

Did you patch your casing, it does not look like enough colonization is happening. Are you using a verm casing because i got alot of cob from that when i tried it!

well its been a couple of days and the "pins" don't seem to be growing. do i have a cake full of mutants? also i birthed another cake a couple days ago and dunked it, then put it in a different FC and it pinned like crazy but they look the same as the ones in these pics.

i would like a few more comments if anyone else can add to what is here so far. thanks

i wonder what i'm doing wrong or different then everyone else? could those not be cubes? maybe the spores where something else. i ordered from TLG and the cakes are different strains EQ and AMZ.

verm is shitty to put underneath them (assuming your using it for humidity). you need perlite. verm holds in the moisture and perlite leaks it out. it could be that your setup isnt humid enough

no thats not it, i have a ultrasonic hooked up on a timer. the verm was in there just because i rolled that cakes in it. the humid is 90-100
